When it comes to living life “as nature intended,” we like to take the good parts and leave the rest (nature can keep those harmful UV rays to herself, thank you). This oil-free SPF 30 moisturizer is definitely all good. Armed with the natural sun-protecting mineral zinc oxide, it guards against broad-spectrum UV rays while dosing our skin with a variety of plant-derived nutrients. Designed for oily and acne-prone skin, it brightens, soothes, renews, and protects without clogging pores.
Because this is an organic product I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately it just didn't do it for me. First of all, it was a rather thin consistency coming out of the tube. Second, I hated the smell of it. Finally, it left my skin feeling very sticky and even a little tight. Will not be purchasing this.2
Left a residue on my face and smells terrible. I've used moisturizers from the dollar store that have been a lot better than this. Tossing the sample.1
Have used all types of products on my face and this has never happened...almost instantly I had a burning sensation and a blotchy mess on my face.. will not be finishing the sample1
I couldn't believe from the texture which seemed oily, but this cream didn't make my face greasy or breakout. Plenty of moisture for a dry climate. Adding to my all time favorites. The fragrance wasn't offensive either!5
My biggest turnoff with this product is the smell (too lemon-y), but the smell fades some. It did not leave a greasy residue, though, and I like that it is completely organic. You can tell the difference that quality ingredients make. My skin felt nourished and refreshed, not weighed down.4
I love this moisturizer. I have been looking for one that keeps my face soft with out feeling oily-- and I have finally found it. I highly recommend this product. :)5
I am very picky with my moisturizers. I used it tonight before bed and my skin feels refreshed without feeling too oily. I think I have found a new moisturizer!5
I respect the fact that this moisturizer is organic and oil free. The major problem is that it is also extremely sticky and leaves my skin very tight feeling. I am glad I had the opportunity to sample it but I would not purchase the full size product.1
I've used this product a few times now and really, it's more of a sunscreen than a moisturizer. It is super thick, really white at first, and smells, well, terrible--but the smell goes away soon after application. It smells like cigarettes to me, which frankly is terrible, but somehow the smells dissipates quickly once it's on the skin. I'm on the fence about this product as the zinc is so white, it didn't totally dissolve on my really dry patches/breakouts, but otherwise it blended well on the healthier parts of my skin. Not sheer whatsoever though, not liquidy, it's a very thick, very goopy/creamy formula, but it feels nourishing on the face and I love that Juice gets great ratings from the EWG. We shall see...3
I love that this is natural and a high SPF. I agree it's a thick sunscreen, so it maybe shouldn't be called a moisturizer, but that's expected considering that it's a physical sunscreen (titanium/zinc, not chemical sunscreen). I mix mine with a little bit of light facial moisturizer to thin out the consistency, and then do a mix of patting on/rubbing in.5
