Buh-bye sock bun. The style to rock right now is the romantic and effortless half-up, half-down. For a look reminiscent of Claire Danes circa Romeo + Juliet, rely on SARAHPOTEMPA's The Half Up. Like its big sis The WRAP UP™, this nifty tool helps you fake a fuller mane and secures your bun without the help of bobby pins.
I received the blonde Half-Up and it worked, but it wouldn't stay closed. I had to use a rubberband to keep it holding my hair in place.2
I wear my hair up a lot because it's just pin straight and tangles easily and this works well with many styles!5
Terrible. I could not get it to work. The product was too stiff to curve around. And it did not hold even a quarter of my hair.1
This absolutely did NOT work for me! First of all, I got a light colored one when I have brunette hair...the foam showed right through! It didn't stay up unless I added a bunch of bobby pins as well.1
I thought this was cool but I won't purchase because I can make a bun without it3
I have very short hair. I tried to use this tool but it did not work with my hair style. Oh well1
I have really long hair and once I figured this thing out- it worked great for me :)4
I never wear my hair in a bun and my hair is very long. There's no way I could fit all of my hair into this (or even half to do a half pony bun thing which looks absolutely ridiculous). I'm very disappointed that Birchbox would send this to me, it's going in the trash since I tried to use it so I can't donate it.1
I liked getting this accessory in the box. I found that the half-up was not super easy to use in the three styles on the accompanying card but this is probably because I have thick, fine hair. I have played around with it and used it to make some cool hairdos so overall, pretty happy.
Cool tool--probably won't buy it because the sample won't run out like other samples do.
Seemed like a great idea, but this just didn't work for me. I ended up cutting my finger on the middle piece while trying to fit my hair in it. My hair is fine, maybe that's why it wouldn't stay up. I have long hair, so it should have worked perfectly. Definitely not worth the money, time or frustration.1
