Buh-bye sock bun. The style to rock right now is the romantic and effortless half-up, half-down. For a look reminiscent of Claire Danes circa Romeo + Juliet, rely on SARAHPOTEMPA's The Half Up. Like its big sis The WRAP UP™, this nifty tool helps you fake a fuller mane and secures your bun without the help of bobby pins.
I did not like this product at all. I pretty good at styling my own hair and found this product to be rather difficult to work with. Once it was in, it just looked odd. I will not be using it again.1
It is difficult to pull hair through that tiny slit and if you finally manage to get your hair in the actual bun kinda looks funny.. i would not wear it outside.1
I could not get this to work with my shorter hair- I think you would have to have long hair to use. Hard to do by yourself too.1
It didn't look too great for my long thick Asian hair. I think using a hair tie works better for me.3
I liked the idea of using this product, but I found it hard to use. I'm not sure if the problem is my hair type or if I can't put it on correctly.2
this was fairly easy to use based on the diagram, the trick is to keep the bun positioned low on your head. if you have layered hair that's different lengths then it's trickier.3
I just feel like an idiot trying to use this. Maybe I just don't understand what I need to be doing but it did not hold my hair in the least. I haven't quite given up, but enough is enough for one day. Frustrating.2
This product was difficult on my hair. I have really fine, long, silky hair and I had a difficult time getting good grip using the half up. It kept sliding through the half up and my layered hairs would fall out of the hole as I was rolling the hair.
It is light weight but its not for my hair type.
Using this to hold my hair half up it worked really well. It sometimes takes more than one try, I have pretty long fine hair with layers. Usually a few strains stick out, but I just wrapped them around and tuck them in. I used hairspray and it stayed put the entire day. It is nice for something different to try with my hair, and I received compliments on how perfect the circle looked.4
I had never tried one of these before! I was very curious to see how it would work and surprisingly it worked really well! I even showed it to a few folks who want to buy one now too! This is perfect for a day when im running late and dont have alot of time to mess with my hair! I looooooooove it! :) Thank you Birchbox!5
