Buh-bye sock bun. The style to rock right now is the romantic and effortless half-up, half-down. For a look reminiscent of Claire Danes circa Romeo + Juliet, rely on SARAHPOTEMPA's The Half Up. Like its big sis The WRAP UP™, this nifty tool helps you fake a fuller mane and secures your bun without the help of bobby pins.
This makes a little bun at the nape of the neck or a half up bun. Sorry- just not into the half up style, but it does work for a low bun if you don't have too much hair.3
Was hard to work with, and there was no way it was going to leave my hair looking sleek with how much you had to mess around with it. It didn't even achieve the advertised look.1
I couldn't get it to work but I really want it to. I love the concept and will look up a tutorial3
I was sent this in my feb birchbox, however I have short hair so not usable.1
I was very much expecting this product to be useless with my straight and very fine hair. BUT, I was quickly raving about this product to my friends. It really works! ...and it works FANTASTICALLY! My hair is so lifeless. Pulling it up into a bun is almost embarassing at how small the bun actually is. The Half-Up acually makes it look like I have a decent amount of hair. I have it in right now ;)5
I think my hair is way too thick for this product. It would probably work best on fine medium length hair.1
Happy to get this as a sample in my box. It works ok on my hair so far - super fine, should length hair, but tons of it. The half up worked and now the whole part works. Just haven't nailed down a "style" to it yet, but it is a nice alternative to ponytails.3
This product did not work on my hair at all...not half-up, nor any other way. It does not seem constructed to hold on to thick, straight hair. By the time, I got my hair through the opening and started to roll it back up - all my hair was out the other side. Pity, I was excited to try this one.1
I am still trying to figure out how to use this thing. I think that I might like it once I do figure it out. We shall see..3
I have super fine, super straight, long hair. But this is almost too much hair for using this to create a full bun with this tool. While I can get it around my hair, when pulled back, my hair is not all a uniform length which immediately creates a problem because rolling what does make it into the tool on the ends isn't going to magically entangle the portions that don't reach. While it does hold decently, it doesn't hold much better than when I just use a simple hairtie to hold a bun. I tend to have to add bobby pins anyway to hold in the strays. The product itself feels really cheap, at least on the exterior, really just a foam curler. The blond color is also not a good match for me. It seems like it would match dyed blond hair better.3
