A favorite of fashion bloggers, off-duty models, and the rest of us on the hunt for an easy weekend look, the ubiquitous topknot shows no signs of abating. But much like winning a round of Candy Crush Saga, the seemingly simple do can be tricky to master. With this plight in mind, hair genius Sarah Potempa created The WRAP UP, a nifty tool that helps you score the perfect topknot, sleek chignon, or tousled low bun. Made with strong, cushy foam, The WRAP UP secures your updo without the help of a zillion bobby pins. Three hair color-matching options, Black, Brunette, and Blonde, ensure your secret weapon remains a secret.
I was so excited to get this item and put it to use right away. I have shoulder length medium thick hair. I love using it at night with a little texturizing spray to give me great waves when I wake up. However, after using this less than a dozen times the metal has snapped inside the foam cover. It has broken and now there are sharp pieces poking out making it unusable. Big bummer since I really liked it.1
It is great for an easy updo, but I have to say I do not love this. It does not seem to hold well in the back, so my hair falls by the middle of the day. You definitely will need bobby pins with this.3
I love this tool. I have had a donut to make buns in my hair, but I felt like I could never get my hair to look just right. This lets me have a perfectly polish bun or a more-fun, relaxed look. Super easy to use!5
I can't quite figure this out. And it comes with a card that gives you a step by step instruction. I guess your hair has to be one length.2
This is my favorite Hair Assessory!
I use it all of the time,as it gives my hair a neat up-do.
It is the perfect tool for when my hair needs washing, but I don't have the time. I use it so often, and I don't believe it is good to over wash my hair. This is my favorite hair tool ever.
I have long, layered, fine hair, so (like several other reviewers) it was a bit difficult to tuck all my ends as I rolled the wrap. Once everything was wrapped up nicely, I had a difficult time covering the ends of the Wrap Up with my hair. I had to use bobby pins to make sure there wasn't an awkward part at the bottom... I'm sure I'll use it again, but it's not the awesome quick fix I was hoping for.3
I loved this product from a different brand before so i bought 2 this time. My hair is currently very layered so it is a bit difficult to ensure all my hair is wrapped at the end, however i would recommend this to everyone for an easy bun.4
I am a second grade teacher and this is perfect for keeping my hair out of my face all day. It is especially great on second day hair with a little bit of dry shampoo. I don't even use bobby pins, although, I will use them today just because it is so humid outside. My hair is long but not super thick, not super fine. The bun is a great size and I have gotten many compliments on it. It literally takes seconds to create a great bun, and by the third time you do it, it may even take less time than that. When I adjusted my bun, a coworker was so impressed with how quickly I was able to unravel and wind it back up.5
The first time I used this product I was a little underwhelmed, because I was excited to try it and it didn't work exactly how I had hoped. Fortunately, as I learned how it works with my fine but thick hair, I absolutely LOVE it now. I'm actually thinking about getting these as bridesmaids gifts for my wedding, as well as getting myself a second one. This is worth the money and it makes a beautiful, flawless looking bun easy and quick.5
I love the idea behind the WRAP UP...I received the HALF UP as a sample and I used it a few times...but it is difficult for me to get my hair to fit in it. I loved the look of the buns created with the WRAP UP and decided to try it but I am having the same issue. My hair is very fine but there is a lot of it...if you have the same this may be the product for you.3
