A favorite of fashion bloggers, off-duty models, and the rest of us on the hunt for an easy weekend look, the ubiquitous topknot shows no signs of abating. But much like winning a round of Candy Crush Saga, the seemingly simple do can be tricky to master. With this plight in mind, hair genius Sarah Potempa created The WRAP UP, a nifty tool that helps you score the perfect topknot, sleek chignon, or tousled low bun. Made with strong, cushy foam, The WRAP UP secures your updo without the help of a zillion bobby pins. Three hair color-matching options, Black, Brunette, and Blonde, ensure your secret weapon remains a secret.
I have tried other wrap ups and didn't like that the clung and knotted my hair. So when I seen this one I was excited to try it! I love it, except for the fact it doesn't have a closure. You just bend the end in. I would have given 5 stars if there had been a snap or even a hair tie closure on one end to keep it in place since I have long hair. If one didn't have as much hair as I do (mid back length) I think it would work a lot better.4
I love the sock bun and I told myself i had to get that method down before I got this one. The benefits of this method are that you really don't need any bobbi pins (I guess maybe if you have really thick hair). The sock bun with a sock is great but for my thin hair I often found myself trying to cover bits where the sock poked through. The Wrap Up does a good job at taking care of that.
Love the larger size unsure about the smaller size. I need to practice but have received compliments while wearing it.4
Sometimes my hair is not in its prime and it can't be worn down as I regularly do. I needed an alternative... Since I bought this things I have a new go-to look that makes me feel fabulous, even when my hair is a bit frizzy. I love the donut hair bun and this thing makes it insanely easy. The first time I did my hair using this I got all kinds of compliments from both females and males in my workplace. –How did you do that? Looks great! –Hey, that's a nice look on you. I mean, wut? That's what I call a good hair day :) I'd buy this thing a million times again if I needed to.5
This product is super easy to use! I have such a hard time doing anything with my hair. It is long, straight, and flat. This bun is perfect for day or night wear. You definitely need long hair to use it. I recently cut my hair and the bun does not look as good as it did when my hair was longer. I would buy this for any friend who has long hair!5
It looks like a great product in the photos, the directions were a little hard to follow and my hair is very thick. I should not have gotten my hopes up for this product, my hair is hard to deal with anyway. I'm sure would work great for someone with normal hair.3
My hair is a bit too short to be using this...Nuts. but I know I will like using this once my hair is long enough. It is nice to just get my hair in a nice bun with this in a rush....4
I was so excited for the Wrap Up, but using it is not nearly as easy as the video tutorial makes it out to be. I have not mastered it yet, but I'm want it to work so I'll keep practicing.4
I enjoyed the sample one given a few months back so much that I bought this one as a gift for a friend. What's great about this product is you can use it to create a very polished look, with little time or preparation. It's a good emergency hair-tool to have, if you need to run out the door for events with little notice.5
My hair, which is neither fine nor thick, is a few inches past my shoulders. It's somewhat but not heavily layered. Even so, this tool didn't work for me. When I used it, inevitably some of my hair wouldn't stay in it. What did stay in wasn't enough to cover the tool once I bent it into a bun. Also, this felt a little cheaply made to me.3
