A favorite of fashion bloggers, off-duty models, and the rest of us on the hunt for an easy weekend look, the ubiquitous topknot shows no signs of abating. But much like winning a round of Candy Crush Saga, the seemingly simple do can be tricky to master. With this plight in mind, hair genius Sarah Potempa created The WRAP UP, a nifty tool that helps you score the perfect topknot, sleek chignon, or tousled low bun. Made with strong, cushy foam, The WRAP UP secures your updo without the help of a zillion bobby pins. Three hair color-matching options, Black, Brunette, and Blonde, ensure your secret weapon remains a secret.
I love this so much! I've been growing my hair out for quite sometime and it finally is at the point that I cant get it into a bun, so this was an obvious purchase for me. It works so well and took all of two tries to get it, and now I feel like a pro. This is going to make my mornings so much easier!5
I was looking for something to help me create a quick, easy style to wear to work and The WRAP UP is certainly that product. This product is perfect for 2nd day hair because all you need to do is use a bit of dry shampoo, put your hair into a ponytail and then add the The WRAP UP and you're good to go! I finished mine with a bit of bobby pins and hairspray just to be sure it held the entire day and it certainly did. I absolutely recommend this product to anyone looking for a quick fix on days where they are running late or just wanted to sleep in a little longer.4
I love that this fits in my purse for use on the go - I can upgrade a standard ponytail in about 30 seconds. Awesome!5
I'm surprised at all of the bad reviews from my fellow fine-haired ladies - maybe their hair isn't long enough? It did take me a bit of practice, but once I mastered it, my bun stayed ALL DAY with ZERO bobby pins!!! It was amazing! It's actually very comfortable, looks incredibly chic, and does not damage or rip hair like other sponge-y sock bun things that you have to roll into your hair. This product does exactly as advertised, given that you have long enough hair to use it.4
This tool is perfect for when I'm running late for work and don't have time to do my hair, when I'm too lazy to do my hair, when it's humid outside, etc. It makes a great-sized bun, especially compared to a hair donut which I had but it was HUGE and looked ridiculous. Because my hair is quite fine, I can't wear a regular old bun because it's literally the size of a quarter. This thing is the perfect medium between those two, and I love it. It looks chic and put together without any effort at all, which is something I've never been able to say about any of my hairstyles before.5
I received my Wrap Up in the mail yesterday and couldn't wait to try it. I have long, thin, straight hair, and it created a nice, big bun in just under a minute. Much easier to use than a sock bun.5
I love love love my new wrap up. I have long hair and have been wanting a wrap that would work with my hair length. The wrap up is easy and quick to use . I would definitely recommend it to others.5
This product is really great for when I am running late for work and need a quick hairdo, especially when I don't want to wash my hair.4
This completely failed on anything like a sock bun for me; I was only able to manage a little bun with the top half of my hair. That stayed well, but isn't really a look I like to wear, so not really recommending this one.2
It took a few tries to figure out how to get it just right, but I love this tool for getting a huge, ballerina bun! I watched the Birchbox tutorial a few times (as an aside, if you haven't already definitely check out the Birchbox hair videos, there are some really good ones) before I tried it out. What I like most about it is that it doesn't need to be perfect. You can have a few hair sticking out here and there, and it still holds your bun like crazy.
I can see that it would be harder to use with short or fine hair though. Also, my hair is REALLY dark, like espresso brown, so I have no issues with the color peaking out, but I'm not sure how it would work for people with pronounced highlights or lighter hair.
