We fully appreciate when a brand tells it like it is. This Is a Sea Salt Spray is, you guessed it, a sea salt spray. But we're thinking they may want to tweak the name slightly—something more along the lines of This Is a Life-Changing Sea Salt Spray. Hair is left looking perfectly imperfect, full of sexy post-beach texture and volume. Better yet, this spray is paraben-free and moisturizes hair to boot.
I had really high expectations for this product because I really love Davines products. However, I just don't think this product works well with the texture of my hair. I have pretty, thick, wavy hair, and this product made my hair look dry and frizzy. It has a great smell, though, and it may be wonderful on some hair types.2
This is the best sea salt spay on the market. My hairdresser was telling me about the "best ever" that has a fantastic smell... But turns out we raving about the same one. Good buy.5
Many sea salt sprays latch on to the hair making the texture difficult to manage and even a bit of a tangled mess. But this spray adds layers and texture while keeping the hair soft. Perfect for any style or occasion.4
I didn't really know what to expect when I applied this to my hair. My first impression was the scent was not what I expected at all - I thought I'd be getting a slightly salty beachy smell, but this product smells sugary sweet. An odd choice to my sensibilities. It didn't really do anything, positive or negative, to my straight hair. I imagine if I applied tons of it, it might make my hair clumpy or sticky, but I didn't try that. I still don't understand what this product is for, and obviously would never purchase it.2
This has become my go-to sea salt spray. It smells great and adds a nice amount of volume and texture to my fine hair. I have used it both wet and dry and like the results. I got this in my monthly birchbox and am planning on buying the full-sized product.5
I loved how this product smelled, but I didn't really know how to use it well I guess. It didn't really do anything great or terrible to my hair. It just kind of sat there.3
Quite surprised that this product worked so well to keep the frizzies at bay even in the highest humidity. My hair kept it's shape but looked slightly messy at the same time.5
This sea salt spray is ok - the texture it provides is great, but the smell is bizarre. Half of the reason I use sea salt spray is to smell the beach.3
I have naturally curly hair which I have straightened 80% of the time. I tried this on day 3 hair to give it some volume and texture, instead of just using dry shampoo. Yes it smelled good. It did not give me "beachy" waves at all though and it definitely left my hair feeling like it had sticky substance in it.3
So Initially I wasn't a fan of this spray and was a little upset i used my points. Well after reading a few reviews I tried this spray on damp (rather than dry hair). Well I find using it on damp hair works so, so much better. I noticed on dry hair (and I dye my hair jet black) it looks like almost white and very dry. So on damp hair, i sprayed a little and combed with a wide tooth comb and scrunched and my hair now hair body, little shine and hold. Next time i use it i will also try on wet hair. I also used a curl creme and leave in for added moisture5
