We fully appreciate when a brand tells it like it is. This Is a Sea Salt Spray is, you guessed it, a sea salt spray. But we're thinking they may want to tweak the name slightly—something more along the lines of This Is a Life-Changing Sea Salt Spray. Hair is left looking perfectly imperfect, full of sexy post-beach texture and volume. Better yet, this spray is paraben-free and moisturizes hair to boot.
I've had another day to play with my sample, and I still feel a bit like it's making my baby-fine hair a little too heavy and a little too crunchy. I was hoping for beachy, textured hair - it's definitely textured, but in a way that makes me want to let it dry (whether I apply it to wet or dry hair) and then run my fingers back through it to break it up once it's set. Maybe there's an exceptionally high salt content to the spray? I'm going to ask my stylist if there's a trick to using it. It might not be the right product for me, but I love the scent. Also, if I apply it very carefully only at the base/roots of my hair, on the underside, it's stiff enough that it will hold for volume. I'm just not sold on using it throughout my hair - yet!3
LOVE this product. It smells great too! I find sometimes for alighter hold, just spraying a little on my finger tips and working it into the hair near my scalp works great to get volume but not add so much texture to the rest of the hair.5
I love this spray, great smell and totally works. I have a lot of fine hair that just skims the tops of my shoulders. I had to figure out the right amount to use (3 sprays, one on each side and one on the back) otherwise my hair was stiff and crunchy. I recommend and will replace once I'm empty.4
All school-year long, I wrangle my natural waves into a sleek, straight coif but when the last school bell rings each June, I retire my blowdryer and round brush and let my waves fly. Living at the beach, I have lots of experience with the natural version of salt water hair, and Davines comes super close to replicating the look. Added bonus, their product smells great! So, if you're a land-locked lass or lad looking for that 'just stepped off the beach or boat' look, I would highly recommend this product. For others like me with ready access to the surf, this product will save you the hassle of getting all sandy in your quest for perfect wavy and tousled hair.4
I love the way this spray works in my hair. It would have 5 stars but pretty sure it has gluten or something that I am allergic to. Makes my head itch. I've weeded everything else out and it also leaked when it arrived so lost a lot. Maybe something was trying to tell me something.3
I've been on the lookout for a great sea salt spray. This one helps with the waves, but it leaves it a bit crunchy. I do not want to go back to the early 2000's of crunchy gel hair days (it's not THAT bad though). I would keep looking if I were you, but if it's your only option, I would say it will do the job.2
This smells amazing and gives a nive beach u look I like that it's light weight and I found it works best on very damp to almost dry hair.5
I have pretty fine hair and this gives me good texture and body all throughout the year ... used to just use in the summer for airdrying but now I use it for volume. Lasts forever!5
I have a chin LENGHT swing bob and wanted touseled waves. This product worked great! It gave my hair enough "grab" to hold finger curls and make beachy waves just right. Ordered a full size already.5
Super excited to receive this product but was a slight let down. It definitely makes my hair crunchy and does not tame any fly aways. My hair is naturally wavy, borderline straight, and this product gave me all the wrong kinds of volume, tons of frizz, making me look just like Monica's hair in Barbados :( The product dries funny in the hair as well, feeling very gunky and gross to run my fingers through my own hair.
Also, something's wrong if guys are noticing, and asking me, why my hair looks "super dry" and frizzy. Woops! Try again...
