We fully appreciate when a brand tells it like it is. This Is a Sea Salt Spray is, you guessed it, a sea salt spray. But we’re thinking they may want to tweak the name slightly—something more along the lines of This Is a Life-Changing Sea Salt Spray. Hair is left looking perfectly unperfect, full of sexy post-beach texture and volume.
I have thick curly/wavy hair and was excited for the beachy waves look. No dice. This product does nothing for thicker hair. I also used this product in conjunction with a curl cream to revive my curls and saw no effect. Could be good for thinner haired girls.2
I do have to say that it gave me the beach waves, but it lift my hair with a certain texture that wasn't very pleasurable at all. It is something that I will continue to wear but I will not buy again.3
I have wavy hair, and this is the perfect product for beachy waves. It also smells really nice, sort of like a vanilla cupcake. Highly recommended if you have wavy hair, or soft curls that you scrunch.5
Like you just walked out of the ocean. If you are looking for the beach waves in a delectable smell you have found the stuff. My bottle leaks a little but I don't even care because this stuff is so amazing. Definitely the best salt spray I have ever used!4
This will give you that stringy ocean hair your looking for, but it feels kinda gunky. Def need to wash your hair right after. With the right outfit this could be pretty cute!4
This stuff works just as good as the stuff I buy from Walmart except it leaves a horrible texture to my hair. Regret spending the $27.2
I was actually pleasantly surprised by this spray. I've tried a few other sea salt sprays, and it's just the nature of the product to be a little gritty and drying -- it's just the price you pay for the added texture. This spray, however, was less gritty than most. If you use too much it can get a little stiff and crunchy. But, with the right amount for your hair type, I have found it really enhances/defines the waves and gives them a little added bounce and volume. I have naturally wavy hair, but it's fine, so I am forever looking for volumizing products. I feel like this product gives me the volume and texture I crave, without being too over-the-top. It's subtle, but effective. I wouldn't call it a "holy grail" or "miracle" product, but I would say that it is very good for my purposes.
It unexpectedly smells like vanilla, which although not unpleasant, seems odd for a beachy salt spray. But I don't mind it too much. I usually spray it into my damp/half-dry hair and scrunch away. My waves are soft, defined, and last all day. Personally, I need to wash it the next day since overnight it seems to get tangled, fluffy (in the unattractive, frizzy way), and dry. Day two hair with this product doesn't work for me. But day one looks pretty good.
Spraying my hair with this product gives my hair texture and fullness. I do like it. The spray does not have an odor.4
I've used this product for years but have noticed ever since they changed the name and packaging, the product is not quite the same. It's better than other beach sprays I have tried, but it's not as amazing as it was in past years.2
Smells great but it's like spraying oil on your hair. When they say "matte" finish, they mean dull and dirty looking. Smells great, and it's probably hydrating well, but don't expect much more than that.1
