We fully appreciate when a brand tells it like it is. This Is a Sea Salt Spray is, you guessed it, a sea salt spray. But we’re thinking they may want to tweak the name slightly—something more along the lines of This Is a Life-Changing Sea Salt Spray. Hair is left looking perfectly unperfect, full of sexy post-beach texture and volume.
I have thick straight hair that is heavy so it often looks very flat. After I get done washing, conditioning and brushing I use this on my damp hair. I flip my hair upside down and spray this in among the layers. Then flip back up to upright, spray some in again and shake it out. Lastly I comb through one more time and shake out again. I end up with a lot more volume than I normally would have in my hair and some texture/hold, all very natural looking. If I am at home while my hair is drying, I will shake it out and brush a few more times.
This also smells wonderful, I love it.
I am always surprised by people who think that sea salt sprays leave them with "sticky" hair. This is designed to mimic the effects of the beach/ocean on the hair and this is exactly what this product does. Your hair is not "clean feeling" when you get out of the ocean but it is soft, textured and has a lot of hold. This is what this product does. I can just guess that the people who are surprised by how this feels have never actually been to the beach/ocean.
I've been wanting to try a sea salt spray and I ordered this without receiving a sample because of the reviews. First time I used the product I used way too much which left my hair frizzy and had terrible texture. After my second try I found the perfect amount that gave me great beach hair. It is safe to say that a little goes a long way. I would suggest you only use this product when you plan to wash your hair at the end of the day.5
This product just left my hair sticky and greasy looking. No waves, no volume, just in need of a shower to remove it asap. Not good for fine hair.1
I like to wear my hair in long, beachy waves. To set the wave, I spray the sea salt texturizer on sections to be braided along with finished braids. The sea salt spray sets my hair without making my waves crunchy and stiff. I love it for taming little wispy hairs around my hairline. It also smells really nice.5
My hair has a little wave so I thought this would help it keep the wave. Not even close to holding anything and it allow my hair to become frizzy..2
This was great for helping my wavy hair make the perfect beach waves. I use it whenever I want to tame the wave.5
I have thick curly/wavy hair and was excited for the beachy waves look. No dice. This product does nothing for thicker hair. I also used this product in conjunction with a curl cream to revive my curls and saw no effect. Could be good for thinner haired girls.2
I do have to say that it gave me the beach waves, but it lift my hair with a certain texture that wasn't very pleasurable at all. It is something that I will continue to wear but I will not buy again.3
I have wavy hair, and this is the perfect product for beachy waves. It also smells really nice, sort of like a vanilla cupcake. Highly recommended if you have wavy hair, or soft curls that you scrunch.5
Like you just walked out of the ocean. If you are looking for the beach waves in a delectable smell you have found the stuff. My bottle leaks a little but I don't even care because this stuff is so amazing. Definitely the best salt spray I have ever used!4
