We fully appreciate when a brand tells it like it is. This Is a Sea Salt Spray is, you guessed it, a sea salt spray. But we're thinking they may want to tweak the name slightly—something more along the lines of This Is a Life-Changing Sea Salt Spray. Hair is left looking perfectly imperfect, full of sexy post-beach texture and volume. Better yet, this spray is paraben-free and moisturizes hair to boot.
I loved the semi-sweet vanilla smell from the mist but I don't think it was very effective. I have long, thing, straight hair and the sea salt spray didn't really bring out any "natural waves". I also spritzed it while my hair was dry and I didn't notice any volumizing effects either! It is probably better for people with naturally wavy hair but I won't be buying this product any time soon.3
This seems like a nice product, just not great for curly hair. I try to keep my hair as smooth and shiny as possible, this seemed counterproductive.3
I liked the idea and smell of the product, but when I used it I noticed no change except my hair seemed dry. Maybe because I already have curly hair it was not effective. I don't know.3
Smells like a day at the beach, provided ample, soft volume, and didn't leave my hair feeling sticky at all. Only downside is that half of the bottle leaked into the box.5
This stuff smells like cupcake icing! It's amazing... i use it on my hair when it's dry and I just scrunch it a bit and let it work its magic.
I've read a lot about "beach hair" styling products recently, but this generous sample is the first one I've tried. It has an unusual fragrance - I'd call it more reminiscent of a sweet pastry than a Beach smell, though! I have very fine, color-treated hair that tends to either go flat or fizzy in the humid weather. I sprayed this on this morning and my hair definitely looks and feels fuller - I think I have a new hair fave - thanks for introducing us, Birchbox!5
I have very fine, straight hair. It doesn't curl worth a darn. So the sea sprays usually don't add in much in the way of waves for me. But it did add some great texture and volume to my hair, which I loved. And it doesn't weigh my hair down or make it look like there's product in it.4
I sprayed this product on my dry hair and it seemed to do its job, but when it dried it became sort of hard and made my hair feel kind-of "crunchy". It also has a beachy smell which is definitely not my thing. It's awkward when you smell like the beach in the winter time...3
I currently use another brand name ginger texturizing spray but will definitely be changing. Not only does this work wonderfully in my naturally curly hair but it also smells heavenly.5
This didn't do much for my hair- I couldn't really see any difference in the waves. it did make my hair feel weird- like I had just climbed out of the ocean- and not it a good way.3
