We fully appreciate when a brand tells it like it is. This Is a Sea Salt Spray is, you guessed it, a sea salt spray. But we’re thinking they may want to tweak the name slightly—something more along the lines of This Is a Life-Changing Sea Salt Spray. Hair is left looking perfectly unperfect, full of sexy post-beach texture and volume.
I like this seasalt spray because it make my hair pretty wavy , but I do not like the smell and it does make my hair kind of crusty.4
I like this for my hair to create a wavy look that is not frizzy after I washed my hair and don't want to spend the time blowing out out smooth.5
I actually got this stuff upon the recommendation of my hair genius.
I have super fine, wavy hair that I like to wear either curly or straight. Depending on the day. I love this spray to make it have body and beachy waves. It doesn't weigh my hair down too much, which is a must. And it smells amazing. I always get a ton of compliments when I use this. I tend to use it the day after I wash it and just scrunch and go.
For me, this is an absolute must have.
I like the texture this gives my hair, the smell is great. Just be careful not to use too much.4
I've had another day to play with my sample, and I still feel a bit like it's making my baby-fine hair a little too heavy and a little too crunchy. I was hoping for beachy, textured hair - it's definitely textured, but in a way that makes me want to let it dry (whether I apply it to wet or dry hair) and then run my fingers back through it to break it up once it's set. Maybe there's an exceptionally high salt content to the spray? I'm going to ask my stylist if there's a trick to using it. It might not be the right product for me, but I love the scent. Also, if I apply it very carefully only at the base/roots of my hair, on the underside, it's stiff enough that it will hold for volume. I'm just not sold on using it throughout my hair - yet!3
LOVE this product. It smells great too! I find sometimes for alighter hold, just spraying a little on my finger tips and working it into the hair near my scalp works great to get volume but not add so much texture to the rest of the hair.5
I love this spray, great smell and totally works. I have a lot of fine hair that just skims the tops of my shoulders. I had to figure out the right amount to use (3 sprays, one on each side and one on the back) otherwise my hair was stiff and crunchy. I recommend and will replace once I'm empty.4
All school-year long, I wrangle my natural waves into a sleek, straight coif but when the last school bell rings each June, I retire my blowdryer and round brush and let my waves fly. Living at the beach, I have lots of experience with the natural version of salt water hair, and Davines comes super close to replicating the look. Added bonus, their product smells great! So, if you're a land-locked lass or lad looking for that 'just stepped off the beach or boat' look, I would highly recommend this product. For others like me with ready access to the surf, this product will save you the hassle of getting all sandy in your quest for perfect wavy and tousled hair.4
I love the way this spray works in my hair. It would have 5 stars but pretty sure it has gluten or something that I am allergic to. Makes my head itch. I've weeded everything else out and it also leaked when it arrived so lost a lot. Maybe something was trying to tell me something.3
I've been on the lookout for a great sea salt spray. This one helps with the waves, but it leaves it a bit crunchy. I do not want to go back to the early 2000's of crunchy gel hair days (it's not THAT bad though). I would keep looking if I were you, but if it's your only option, I would say it will do the job.2
