We fully appreciate when a brand tells it like it is. This Is a Sea Salt Spray is, you guessed it, a sea salt spray. But we're thinking they may want to tweak the name slightly—something more along the lines of This Is a Life-Changing Sea Salt Spray. Hair is left looking perfectly imperfect, full of sexy post-beach texture and volume. Better yet, this spray is paraben-free and moisturizes hair to boot.
This spray does exactly what it says it does, and with little work on your part (I'm pretty low maintenance). Adds nice beachy texture, even when you air dry--which for me is all the time.4
Enjoying my sample - smells great, adds texture, but a little really goes a long way...I remembered too late a few times. Otherwise have really enjoyed it. Even when I have added too much, it wasn't bad, just felt heavy to me. I love the smell, too. It doesn't linger, but noticed it again after getting caught in the rain. (Which just allowed me to restyle with my fingers & dried great! Bonus surprise!)4
I have used several of these sea salt sprays with no luck. This one worked great. I use it when my hair is wet and even my very straight hair got a boost. I have a chin length bob so not sure if it would work as well with longer hair.4
Sea salt spray was drying to me. I did not like it at all. it made my hair dry and stiff, I was not impressed.2
I love sprays like this during the summer for brachytherapy waves and this one seemed to work quite well. I received this in the fall so I have not gotten much use of it yet, but expect to use more of it once the sun starts coming out more! I really like the smell of this product and the packaging as well. The sample size I got was perhaps the best sized sample I have ever gotten of anything.4
I love using a couple mists of this sea salt spray to get more volume and texture out of my hair. I find that it works best when my hair is nearly dry-dry, and going with a less-is-more approach. It defines my layers and provides a natural, flexible hold. If I'm blow drying I'll spray a little bit at my roots when my hair's still damp to get more lift too!4
I had really high expectations for this product because I really love Davines products. However, I just don't think this product works well with the texture of my hair. I have pretty, thick, wavy hair, and this product made my hair look dry and frizzy. It has a great smell, though, and it may be wonderful on some hair types.2
This is the best sea salt spay on the market. My hairdresser was telling me about the "best ever" that has a fantastic smell... But turns out we raving about the same one. Good buy.5
Many sea salt sprays latch on to the hair making the texture difficult to manage and even a bit of a tangled mess. But this spray adds layers and texture while keeping the hair soft. Perfect for any style or occasion.4
I didn't really know what to expect when I applied this to my hair. My first impression was the scent was not what I expected at all - I thought I'd be getting a slightly salty beachy smell, but this product smells sugary sweet. An odd choice to my sensibilities. It didn't really do anything, positive or negative, to my straight hair. I imagine if I applied tons of it, it might make my hair clumpy or sticky, but I didn't try that. I still don't understand what this product is for, and obviously would never purchase it.2
