You’re a mountain man: You prefer scaling cliffs to the treadmill, and have never heard of spin class. Scrub down with this brawny bar, which contains a slew of hydrating oils like olive, coconut, hemp, and soybean, all blended into a shea butter base. Deeply cleansing and never drying, this soap will leave you smelling as fresh as a forest—and feeling like you could chop wood with your bare hands.
I like the texture. Almost like a scrub because it is so tough.5
I received the Pine Tar in my Birchbox and while it did smell clean it also reminded me of PineSol floor cleaner which is not what I am going for. Lather is nice though.4
This soap surprised me. At first off of appearance I was unsure. The scent was welcoming so I tried it and my experience was awesome. I was thinking about purchasing a full size bar as soon as the sample runs out.5
For a suburbanite family man, this just didn't work. I will say that this does the job and for someone that likes the scent and needs a good scrub - this will suit their needs. I tried pulling off the scent after a good workout doing yardwork, but apparently needed more of a forest behind me to pull it off.3
I do not particularly like bar soaps but did enjoy this one. The black look is cool and the smell is very masculine.3
This is a decent bar soap. I didn't expect much and I was pleasantly surprised. Good bar soap4
I have used the Pine Tar and Gold Moss varieties of this soap and loved both. The texture is a little rough, but it is great for cleaning (you might not need a loofah if you just use the bar itself). The scents are really masculine and earthy, and don't linger in an aggressive or overpowering fashion. My skin feels great after use!5
The smell is out of this world! I will say that it tames down once lathered up, but still, wow. My bar of soap came in black, and it's a bit strange trying to cleanse yourself and having black run down your body. It's not the worst soap I've tried, but surely i wont be spending money on this stuff. I think i will just stick to good old fashioned Irish Spring, thanks.3
As far as bar soap goes, this is right up at the top. I REALLY enjoyed the smell. It wasn't too much and it didn't linger. The black was kind of neat too. The exfoliating grains surprised me as they can't be felt before it's used for the first time. For the most part, they felt great. I just didn't scrub the more sensitive parts of my body with it as it would have been a bit too abrasive. This would definitely be my go to after a weekend of camping or hiking. My skin felt a little dry after using it, but that could be just because it was a new soap or my water. I was surprised there wasn't a full bar in the box as the full bar is only $6, which is an awesome price for the quality of the bar. Oh well. this is definitely an item I can see myself buying.4
I was a little worried about using this since the soap is black but I'm so glad I did. It's smells awesome and is right up there with my regular soap when it comes to feeling clean afterwards. Will be purchasing!!4
