Many thick, goopy foundations make us feel about as unnatural-looking as the Joker. Not so funny. We prefer a makeup look that’s a little more inconspicuous, so naturally, we gravitated toward Alison Raffaele’s Reality Base Foundation. Its weightless, oil-free formula is designed to look completely natural on skin, providing medium coverage and leaving your face silky-smooth. The foundation contains the protective and restorative Frutta di VitaTM antioxidant complex, a brand signature ingredient.
I really wanted to like this. Right now I'm stuck in between BBs and traditional foundation. I was hoping his would bridge the chasm. I actually got past the fact that it was totally the wrong shade for me and concentrated on the coverage. It's too close to typical foundation.
1This foundation has a silky feel to it making it go on nice but after several hours it felt like it was melting off my face even with a mineral powder applied over it. I suppose I could try it with a primer-- so many primers have this same silky feel when applied that it seems redundant.
1I think foundation is such a personal purchase but I agree with the other posters about the thinness of this foundation. It was really runny, which I didn't care for. It was, however, very lightweight, so would be good for those not looking for much coverage or not wanting that heavy foundation feeling. I personally like a bit more coverage and a little thicker.
