Many thick, goopy foundations make us feel about as unnatural-looking as the Joker. Not so funny. We prefer a makeup look that’s a little more inconspicuous, so naturally, we gravitated toward Alison Raffaele’s Reality Base Foundation. Its weightless, oil-free formula is designed to look completely natural on skin, providing medium coverage and leaving your face silky-smooth. The foundation contains the protective and restorative Frutta di VitaTM antioxidant complex, a brand signature ingredient.
this foundation is great. covers well and leaves a nice finish. easy to apply.5
IF the skin tone matches, it's a nice silky base. They are a bit on the pink side, for those with golden undertones you might want to look elsewhere. Decent medium coverage, although you need two apps for a REAL medium coverage.4
I don't wear foundation, but I tried it out around the house to see if it would change my mind. Negative.1
My sample was unfortunately too small to really enjoy trying. I was able to use it only once and the shade sent to me was not right according to my profile. I'm quite pale and was sent shade 3. This one was disappointing. A note.. I have a sample given to me for free at the Lancôme counter that is larger than this foundation sample. :(2
Perfect match to my skin tone and blends very well.5
I felt like this was heavy when I applied it, over time the consistency got better. I had a really hard time opening the sample and was lucky not to get it all over my clothes2
This formula was a bit too full coverage for me - I prefer something lighter that evens tone somewhat, but still leaves the natural variation of my skin visible. The makeup didn't sink in to my skin as well as it might have, and once applied, you could definitely see that I was wearing it. Part of this effect was that the shade I received was a hair dark, but the product also settled into pores and dry spots, making them more obvious.3
I think it's risky sending such a small sample of a foundation in the monthly box; if the color's not right there's not enough of it to mix with primer or concealer to make it right. The sample was just too small for me to really consider changing from what I am using now.4
This worked okay. It wasnt cakey, it felt ok and didnt really have a smell to it. Product was ok but nothing special that I can't find at a drug store.
Wanted to like it...but it was the wrong color for my skin.1
