Come winter, our skin can get drier than a Diablo Cody script—but unlike the screenwriter’s sense of humor, there’s nothing very funny about it. Luckily, the skincare wizards at ARCONA have our backs (or rather, our faces). This featherlight gel works three ways to keep your skin in high spirits: It moisturizes, neutralizes free radicals, and keeps pores clear—leaving you glowing and dewy-faced through the colder months and beyond. Bonus: It’s great for all skin types!
Didn't really like this product. It is marketed towards all skin types but it didn't react well my sensitive skin, it felt just a little too goopy.1
This made my face red and raw when I used it. It smelled really nice but was too much for my sensitive skin.1
I have mixed feelings about its absorption. It smoothed onto my dry legs nicely, but left my hands feeling sticky /tacky. The fruity scent MIGHT be ok in small doses, but is too much if using as an all-over body lotion. Maybe ok for little girls (seriously). I'm passing.1
This was rather disappointing. It felt sticky and I didn't like the feel of it on my face. I was also rather confused as to whether it was meant to be a moisturizer or wear it underneath my moisturizer.1
To be completely honest, I really did not like using this product. I received it in my December 2013 Birchbox and was very excited to try it because it sounded awesome! Just so you know, I consider my skin type to be "dry-combination" because I often get dry patches and my skin usually doesn't get too oily. It is also kind of sensitive. I am 18 years old and my skin is still prone to breakouts.
Product Smell: I didn't really like it, I thought it kind of smelled like medicine.
Product Texture: The texture was nice; it was thin and applied almost like a serum
Application: I applied it right after washing my face so my skin could better absorb it. This moisturizer felt uncomfortable on my face and made it feel kind of sticky. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it was an unusual feeling. I guess you could say it was somewhat hydrating.
When Applying Make-up: The stickiness/ tackiness of this product made it hard to blend in my BB cream and start my usual make-up routine. I have dark circles, so I always apply my under-eye concealer. However, when I applied it I noticed that it simply wouldn't blend in and this was really frustrating. It's as if the two products were repelling each other (as weird as that sounds!).
Purchasing?: I do not plan on purchasing this product.
Reccommendation?: I do not recommend purchasing this product because (in my opinion) it was very uncomfortable to use. I didn't find it to be worth the price. If you have the opportunity to try it for free, you might find it works for you though!
Thank you anyways, Birchbox! :)
P.S. I did not mean to sound so negative, I just wanted to be completely honest about my experience with this product!
This product left an unplesant film on my face leavingit feeling greasy/dirty. The smell was also very unpleasang.1
I think that this would be a fantastic moisturizer in the summer. As the cold temperatures bring drier skin - one needs a bit more moist in their moisturizer. Very little residue and pleasant scent are also perks.1
I tried this product during the month of December when the weather is cold and my face is super dry. The smell is kind of nice but the product is sort of like a gel. It goes on smoothly but then starts to rub off the more you try to rub it in...sort of leaves residue the way an eraser leaves traces of shavings. It was just weird and didn't leave me feeling moisturized at all.1
The texture was almost slimy and did not feel moisturizing at all. It felt as though It would slide off in a second. I actually rewashed my face after using it because it was terrible.1
I have oily skin, so I don't know if this is an effective product. I never have a need for moisture on my face. I also live in Hawaii, so no winter and no dryness.1
