To keep contestants’ faces shine-free under pressure (and scalding-hot stage lights), makeup artists for shows like American Idol and The Glee Project turn to this mattifying gel. The fast-drying formula creates an intermediate layer that absorbs grease for eight full hours. Use it to score a matte, shine-free look—with or without the help of makeup. Alcohol-free and oil-free, it’s safe for even acne-prone skin. Get ready for your close-up.
Do not use this type of product, but having it provided from my great birchbox products, decided to try.Its the best stuff. Will order for sure. Thanks again for all the great products you turn us on too.5
I really like the way this feels when I put it on. Will definitely try this again.5
I really really really liked this product. I am a wedding photographer and this product kept my make up on and my face sweat free for a full wedding. I just wished it wasn't so expensive.5
The product works well and reduces shine. I tend to have oily skin so I enjoyed being able to try this.4
I hated the way it made my face feel. not mattifing but rubbery.1
I've been on the hunt for a great primer for some time now - especially because for summer I've made the switch from foundation to BB cream and I find that while BB cream's are lighter coverage for these hot months, it tends to sort of travel on my face as the day wears on. I love the texture of this gel - it's not quite a moisturizer, definitely not oil-y or gel-y, it reminds me of a deep conditioner feel, but for your face! Helps prevent shine in these hot months. A+!5
This works okay if you live somewhere that is not that humid. I have fairly oily skin and on humid days it's the worst! This product is okay but I have yet to find something that works as well as Clinque's Pore Minimizer (a mattifying gel which they discontinued). And since then I have not found another product to take it's place.3
Maybe on another face, one that isn't quite so oily. Maybe in another time, when the heat and humidity of summer cause the sebum to ooze from my pores like molasses. But for someone who is currently in negotiations with Exxon to erect an oil rig smack dab on her nose, this didn't really work.3
I have never heard of this product and/or tried it until it arrived in this month's box - Personally I feel that for the price of the product it should at least work for a while, however, the product does not work, it left my skin feeling dry at first then right back to oily. The product states "OC8 has been formulated to leave the skin oil free for up to eight hours" I definitely did not notice any difference. I wore the product with make-up at first then decided to wear it under my oil free foundation and still no difference. I will not be purchasing this product.1
I like using new mattifying gels, because I have combination skin and tend to get pretty greasy/oily on my t-zone throughout the day. I liked this product, but it is a bit pricey, so I probably wont be purchasing.4
