Sometimes the rest of your face just gets in the way when you’re applying mascara. Even when you’re careful, it inevitably smudges on your eye lid and below your bottom lashes. Now there’s a way to prevent these common snafus: Lash Card, based on the makeup artist trick of using a cut out business card. This thick card keeps smears away and can also be used to separate any clumps. It comes in a cute package that slides right into your makeup bag.
I guess this might be effective if you had poor fine motor skills. It otherwise seems absurd to me, and not easy to use. You have to carefully hold the card over your eye - don't blink - then reach to pick up your mascara, somehow remove the applicator from the tube with your third hand, and then apply to your lashes. And don't blink, you'll ruin it worse than if you weren't using this odd product. No. The theory of it is good, but it isn't practical.1
If you really have a hard time keeping mascara off your lid when you apply it, then I'd go for something like this. I don't think you'd even need to pay this much for it - find an index card or something and just use that.1
These are definitely something that I would use because I get mascara all over my face every morning, without fail. But I had a hard time holding the card and apply mascara at the same time. If you are better coordinated than I am, these would be a good product for you.2
This product is okay. It works awesome when your in a hurry to get out the door, but it is def not needed for everyday.3
I am absolutely terrible with mascara and bought this on a wim and I love it ! Will rebuy over and over5
I like this product and the pack comes with a few in it so you can use in gift bags so extra plus. I wish it was just a little smaller but does help prevent eye mascara smudge. My mother used one as well and she agrees is a good product especially if you have longer eye lashes, but even if you have short or thin eye lashes it will prevent you from getting mascara where you don't want it.4
its pretty hard to use the cards and put on mascara. the card kind of blocks lashes and wherever the card doesn't cover, a lot of mascara ends up on the eyelids.2
Just when I thought I knew about all beauty products/tools I learned about this one. It is wonderful and keeps from getting those annoying black slashes underneath your eyelid or by your eyebrow4
I found these to be a pointless product, and I would never spend money on them. If you're learning how to do mascara I could see how they might be useful, or if you were putting it on someone else I guess. When I do my own mascara I don't smear and smudge it all down my face, so I don't use these.1
I like the lash cards because they help you separate the clumps in your mascara but it is nothing that I cant live without. It eliminates the step of having to use a lash comb. Also helps with layering mascara.4
