Long-lasting gel liners are kinda like unicorns, a beautiful notion of mythic proportions…that doesn’t really exist. That is, until we met this heroic eyeliner from CAILYN Cosmetics. The inky gel goes on smoothly like a traditional liquid liner and leaves behind a line of rich color like a high-impact eye pencil. It even comes with a built-in brush so you can get a bold eye even while on the go.
I am pretty low maintenance when it comes to make up and don't know how to apply most things. BUT I wanted to try an eyeliner and after reading reviews decided to order Cailyn, THIS IS GREAT! It's so easy to apply and looks awesome!1
I read many reviews before purchasing. I was SO excited to use this product. It arrived sealed and undamaged, but the "gel" itself was rock hard and dry. I'm not sure if it's meant to be this way, or it's an issue with the product. I like the packaging and brush addition, but the product is unusable. Gel should glide on. I had to use a metal poking device to move any of the product. The star is for the packaging.1
I tried the product when I got it in my box and it went on too dry and the brush was too stiff.1
This eyeliner was decent when I first got it, but too dry and cakey to go on in one smooth line. I had to make the line bit by bit and then go over it again to get it to look smooth.
But after a month it dried up, cracked and I can't use it anymore. Like other reviews mention, you have to really scrape at it with the brush to get any pigment, and the brush is too stiff and scratches delicate eyelids painfully.
I'm going to go back to my regular liquid liner- Almay works just fine for me. Sometimes the cheapy CVS brands are better than fancy stuff.
I cannot believe the price for this ridiculously gross gel eyeliner. Not only is the packaging obnoxious and the included brush, USELESS but the liner itself smudges and has little pigmentation. Ladies, you are better off with drugstore liners because this stuff is a waste. Not only a waste of money but especially a waste of SPACE.1
I was really hopeful for this product because I love gel liners! The packaging is great, really helpful for traveling. The gel product itself was really dry though. It was difficult to apply and just caked up on the brush. I tried it several times and just got frustrated with it.1
I hate this stuff. This is the second time I've received a sample of this stuff(first time wasn't from Birchbox). This stuff literally hurts my eyes to put on. The brush is rough and hurts my lower lids to apply it. It's not very pigmented and it wears off easily. I have heard such good reviews from people about this liner but it is way too irritating for me. I couldn't give it away fast enough.1
I wanted to love this. I love a good eyeliner. I really like that the brush is in the packaging but the screw top on the eyeliner squeaks really loud every time I open or close it. It is difficult to use and get a precise line because the gel doesn't glide. I guess if you are looking for a smokier finish vs. a wing it might be ok. It did stay on all day but if I rubbed my eyes it was gone. I will be sticking with my current standby.1
I didn't like this gel liner. I felt the brush was too rough on my eye lid. The bristles were too hard. And the liner itself made my eyes really red and they burned. I had a hard time applying it. I'd just prefer my regular liquid or pencil liners.1
When I received this sample it was dried out. I loved the packaging and was anxious to try it but it was too dried out to use.1
