This compact palette from Coastal Scents contains no fewer than 88 unique eye shadow shades. Break out the color wheel, because you’ll feel the urge to experiment with some daring new combos. Inspired by the sandy dunes and vibrant skies of the Sahara Desert, there’s a hue to match every color on your mood ring (and then some). Even Lawrence of Arabia would be impressed.
I liked this eye shadow a lot, it was easy to blend and stayed on a long time. I don't typically wear a smoky eye but these colors were subtle enough that it was very wearable and I didn't feel over done.4
I got four color samples. I really liked the silver gray one. Goes with everything. The other three weren't my taste but were nice colors. I already have a palette set so I won't be buying this one but I did like how the eye shadow lasted.4
I like how well this shadow wears, I would not have chosen the colors that I received, but really liked playing with the new colors.4
I don't wear eye shadow very often, the sample will last me a while. I did try my sample and I am very happy with it. They are very pigmented and the color lasts a while. I have blue eyes and did not use the blue/green, the other neutral colors looked nice with my blue eyes.4
I love the Sandstorm color, not so much on the matte colors and I am totally unsure why companies even make pink eye shadow.3
I got a four color mini set that was for making a smokey eye. Thats a little too intense for me so i just use the colors mostly separately but theyre pretty nice.3
I got the sample with a turquoise and blue along with two lighter neutral shades. The pigmentation was fine, but the two blue shades didn't work for my green-hazel eyes. I might look into some of their other shades.3
I really love the soft, silky texture of these shadows. They're not the most pigmented I've ever used, but the payoff wasn't too bad.
The darkest color, Opal Black, was only the dud of the little quad, with hardly any payoff, a grittier texture (not just due to the glitter), and a TON of fall-out, but the rest were really nice.
Once I figured out how to open the sample (duh moment), I was excited to try the new colors. I loved the mint green pastel shade the most, and all of the colors blended well and went on smoothly. Although I still don't know how to do smoky eye makeup, the look I came up with was pretty neat and I got a few compliments.5
This seems like a reasonable price for so many colors. I colors I received in my birchbox were very pretty, and the pigmentation isn't bad. Personally, I don't feel that I need so many colors in my collection, but if you're looking to expand your eyeshadow collection, this could be great.4
