They say milk does a body good, so we knew these indulgent Bath Milks from Mox Botanicals were just the ticket for a spa-rivaling experience at home. The oversized tea bags infuse bathwater with relaxing scents that’ll make you want to never leave the tub, even when you start to get all pruney.
When it's actually some kind of herbal infusion in the pouch, I don't mind so much, but milk bath in a tea bag? Eh. On the bright side, the bag keeps petals and buds out of your tub, so if you like the spa experience, but don't want any sort of clean up, these might be your thing, but milk bath is one of those things that I just prefer in the tub directly in liquid or powder form. I just like that opaque white water.3
After a recent trip to Asia, I was reminded of how amazing a milk bath makes my skin feel, so I was excited to see an option available in the shop where I could try out 4 different scents.
I've used 2 of the 4 samples and have been disappointed with both. The fragrances are not very strong at all- actually the main smell is of the milk protein. The first bag ruptured, sending the botanicals all over my tub. The amount of product in each sachet doesn't really do anything to the bathwater.
I have another brand of milk bath that I've been using that requires me to use less product for a great bath. I'm disappointed that I'm not able to add Mox into my milk bath rotation at home. It just isn't worth the cost.
I was super excited to receive this product. I purchased the four pack and have only used the Oatmeal variety so far. It just didn't seem to do much. I dropped the whole bag in the bath and found it didn't make any difference in the water or for my skin.2
I was really excited to try this bath soak. But when I used it, I couldn't smell any fragrance, and it turned the bath water a murky yellow. It was such a waste of money, I'd never buy this product again.1
The scents were faint and not very appealing, and the milky residue isn't particularly appetizing either. Not worth half the price...1
the only problem I found with these is that they didn't really dissipate through the bag they come in, so I just dumped the contents in the bath water. I don't think the soaking bag is thin enough. but they smell great and make for a relaxing wonderful bath!4
I really liked how my skin felt after my bath but the milk itself didn't smell too good and it didn't seem like enough to fill in my bath. After about ten minutes my water got milky. I used the oat one first so that could be why it didn't smell too good.3
Very nice and moisturizing. I love this product!!! Its affordable and easily usable. U can use it throughout the day or at night time.5
Love this body wash!! Makes skin feel soft and supple!!5
Really I love this product. I've only used so far the jasmine and the rose petal bath milks. Though I must admit some of the rose petals did escape into the water and I did have to pluck them from my hair later, but I was fine with that. There aren't too many in the sachet to begin with. And the material is quite thick like a cheese cloth and better quality that most tea bags even. My skin afterwards felt very soft and there is a subtle rose aroma to it.4
