Ernest Hemingway, exemplar of all things craggy and masculine, was the inspiration for this complex fragrance—but don’t expect notes of rum and tobacco. Featuring top notes of Italian bergamot, juniper, and black pepper, a heart of orange blossom, Florentine iris, and cinnamon, and a base of vetiver, vanilla, and yellow amber, this is a cultured cologne for a cultured man. Papa would approve.
I have tried other samples from this brand but this one is by far the best. Hints of vanilla and oak. Doesnt fade quickly. Got compliments the first time I wore it. Def buying the full size.5
The funny thing is that I already purchased this fragrance from
birchbox when I received the sample. I am not too upset about it because I love the way it smells. The only problem is that it is expensive and there are fragrances out there that smell almost the same.
Fragrance is good. It can be used for any occasion and is not too overwhelming. Love the sample size!4
i believe i have received this one before in another birchbox. thats alright tho since i quite like it's scent.4
I love this scent. It last a long time, and smells great. Only problem is the price point is just too high. Can't justify spending that on collogne at this point..5
Colognes have come a long way since my trusty ole Brut bottle. This particular doesn't burn your skin off on application. However, it smells great. Soft. A little touch of vanilla and cinnamon. Small problem... this mist is too pricey for my blood. Might have to take a small loan out for a bottle down the road.5
This is a nice almost musky smell. Love it for winter months.5
This is my second sample of Histoires de Parfums 1899 from BB. Nice stuff. This is one of my favorites from BB.5
This is one of my favorite smelling colognes. It stay with you all day and it has a classy smell.5
I love this cologne. I wish it wasn't so expensive because it smells amazing.5
