Old-world Paris was the inspiration for this complex fragrance. Featuring top notes of Italian bergamot, juniper, and black pepper, a heart of orange blossom, Florentine iris, and cinnamon, and a base of vetiver, vanilla, and yellow amber, it’s a cultured cologne for a cultured man.
Absolutely love the subtle and spicy scent of this long-lasting cologne!5
Not for me. Smell is like Gillette shaving cream. Not for me but maybe an older man.1
Well, you had to get one right, after all the samples that were just not my kind of scent this one has a nice subtle smell.4
This is a very manly, very complex scent. If you are looking for something new and different from the norm, this is worth a try.5
My husband got this in a birchbox that I got for him. He put it on right away and it smells amazing! Very subtle and not overwhelming.5
I am normally very open to colognes, but this one was just overpowering and the scent was almost, pungent, in a way? I couldn't get past it, I tried it one day and did not necessarily get good feedback on it.2
my boyfriend received this in his birchbox and wore it on date night and he smelled so good! great night time fragrance.5
this is not an original scent, but don't let that ruin the experience, this is a really good product, 2 sprays lasted a good 6hrs, its a good or night scent, i received several comments about it from attractive women (or maybe that was just my mojo) either way they didn't say i smelled bad! ha go buy this5
Other than the 100$ price tag I love this cologne I dunno if I could bring my self to pay that much for it. But I'm loving the sample5
Bold, spicy and strong without being overpowering. 1899 is by far my very favorite of the Histoires fragrances. As it is named for the year that Ernest Hemingway was born, I like to imagine that this is what Papa Hem smelled like.5
