Ernest Hemingway, exemplar of all things craggy and masculine, was the inspiration for this complex fragrance—but don’t expect notes of rum and tobacco. Featuring top notes of Italian bergamot, juniper, and black pepper, a heart of orange blossom, Florentine iris, and cinnamon, and a base of vetiver, vanilla, and yellow amber, this is a cultured cologne for a cultured man. Papa would approve.
It's an woody scent with a sweet, powdery undertone. My friends love it, but it kind of smells like like incense before you light it.4
I'm not a cologne wearer, but this smells ok. Not overpowering or overly lingering.3
Very nice and not a loud scent!! Which I like a lot and my wife loves it.5
I expected a more robust scent based on the written description, but was pleasantly surprised to smell the product and find that it is actually quite mild. It is masculine, but wouldn't put off someone averse to those scents. It's a very wearable fragrance that lasts all day.5
I really enjoy this cologne. It smells great and the smell lasts. I'm happy with my sample!4
This was not pleasant upon application. It took this product time to mix with my scent chemistry, before it became appealing to me. My wife really liked the scent and I did too. I would consider buying it if it wasn't for the steep price tag.4
Wow, the cologne is amazing! The sample bottle is, of course, so small; yet the potency of single spray lasts HOURS after. I sprayed it and my wife kept mentioning that she couldn't stop smelling something great. I didn't tell her until later that it was me. If The full bottle wasn't so expensive, i would buy it in an instant!5
I really like this cologne; its very clean and crisp... I really like the package and the scent really lasts all day4
I dont really like cologne and I barely use it, so this wont get much use from me. But it is a very mature smell and not overpowering3
I think the smell on this product is really good. I would definitely wear this product alot. The only draw back for me is the price point. At $100+ it's a bit much for me.5
