As a tribute to Jules Verne, the father of science fiction, this fresh, maritime fragrance is a departure from the norm. Its vivid scent is inspired by the sights and smells of Nantes, the seaside port town where the author was born in 1828. And like Verne’s Around the World in Eighty Days, this is a cologne that’s on the go, evolving from pine-y to peppery—minty to musky.
This is a citrusy fragrance with a strong pine note with hints of mint and musk. To be honest, I was underwhelmed at first spray, but once it started to dry down, it developed into something amazing. It is balmy and sophisticated and can easily become someone's signature scent because it is great for all occasions at any time of year.4
Loved the sample of their other scent I received in my birchbox and ended up buying both. Two very different scents for different occasions.
Top Note: Grapefruit, Citrus, Tangerine, Eucalyptus
Heart Note: Nutmeg, Pepper
Base Note: Cedar, Incense, Vetiver, Pine cone
Originality: spices, wood, aromatic herbs representing Jules Verne - world traveler. A group of olfactive scents assembled from trips all around the globe.
(Madagascar black pepper, Indonesian nutmeg…)
Moods: energizing, dazzling, bright, timeless.
My favorite fragrance. It's subtle which I prefer.5
Smells fantastic. I received more compliments than other colognes I wear. However, the nozzle of the bottle is faulty and needless to say it leaked all over my Dopp kit while traveling. Lost almost half the bottle and at that price well I just put it to the side3
I love this scent, and the description is correct - it does change over time. It's fresh and wears very well in warm weather. I would definitely consider purchasing the full size product.4
I'm deff. Going to buy a bottle of this once my free sample fully runs out. Using it as my date night aroma5
