This matte-finish, high-hold wax from Hanz de Fuko combines the pliability of a pomade with the staying power of a gel. Lightweight and water-soluble, it taps natural plant extracts to add thickness and fullness while allowing you to separate, mold, and sculpt your ’do.
Received the sponge wax as a sample. I wasn't sure what it was or how it would hold since I've never used wax before. I typically use pomade or putty when my hair is at its shortest and gel when it gets longer. I tried this product on a whim after my latest haircut and was pleasantly surprised. I rubbed some on my hands, spread it throughout my damp hair and styled it. My hair didn't feel oily or stiff but it held up great and stayed in place throughout the day. A little bit goes a long way.5
It does its job and i like it. It really is small and i use a lot of it. I like the way it feels and smells.5
I really like this stuff for what it is, which is exactly as described. A light, pliable product with no sheen or trace of anything that would lead one to think you have any product in your hair. I do notice though that as my hair gets longer and when I miss a haircut or get one a little later than I normally would, the stuff doesn't work as well. It becomes difficult to work with and after a few hours it almost completely loses its hold. That aside, it really is a great product that I'll continue using.4
Great product. Love the texturing it allows you to do with your hair.5
This is exactly the type of hair product I like to use to give my fine hair some body. I recommend using this sponge wax if you desire a hold without the sheen of a pomade.4
Smells really good... Consistency is good for hair... Doesn't flake much...Hold can be better... But overall good product for hair...4
Leaves a film in your hair. It works like a pomade, but I don't generally use pomade so this review is unfavorable because of that. Leaves hair waxy.2
It's just right! My hair is thick and a little wavy and needs a little "direction". However unless I'm trying to look dapper in a tornado I don't need the Elmer's glue style of hold. With this you can still run your fingers through and your hair appears to just flow the way you style it. It also smells good. One thing to note: the Claymation is their version of Elmer's glue. While it may be good for some folks, it's too much hold for me. IMHO.5
The scent was ok, but the description for this product is wrong in my opinion. I have long fine hair. I didn't notice any difference in look or hold at all.1
Great smell and a great hold. So far, anything I've tested from Hanz de Fuko has been great. Doesn't leave you feeling like a greaseball but does what it's supposed to do.4
