A shower isn't the only solution for flat or greasy hair. Hanz de Fuko's medium-hold product is one part styling wax, one part dry shampoo, using diatomaceous earth (a soft, pumice-like rock) to suck up excess oil while adding both volume and texture.
IT MAKES YOUR HAIR FEEL DIRTY AND STICKY, NOT LIKE A GEL OR CLAY, ETC, BUT IT WAS A GROSS FEELING.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND I AM NOT BIG ON PUTTING PRODUCTS IN MY HAIR, WHICH IS DOWN TO MY SHOULDERS NOW.
I DO HAVE MY PRODUCTS I LOVE FOR HAIR, RUSK FOR INSTANCE HAS A GREAT LINE THAT DOES NOT LEAVE YOUR HEAD FEELING DIRTY AND STICKY
THE ONE THING I LIKED ABOUT IT WAS THE SMELL, I WILL TRY IT A FEW MORE TIMES AND UPDATE MY REVIEW IF I FIND I OVER REACTED TO THE TEXTURE, BUT FROM A GUY WHO HAS HAD LONG HAIR AND TAKES CARE OF IT BIG TIME, NOT TO MENTION A WIFE WHO IS A HAIR STYLIST FOR 20 YEARS I KNOW MY STUFF
MAYBE FOR A YOUNGER DEMOGRAPHIC, I AM 39, SO I AM SET IN MY WAYS ABOUT WHAT I LIKE MY HAIR TO FEEL LIKE.
This product in particular by Hanz is not great. I have traditionally used the Claymation which has a super strong hold but decided to switch it up. That was a mistake.
My hair is thick and a little wavy when it gets past 2 inches long. Quicksand is of an awful substance and it makes my hair feel quite literally like sandpaper. Moreover, it's extremely hard to get out - even after a shower I can still feel the residue.
If you're looking for a strong hold and have wavy hair I would recommend the Claymation.
This was a product that I had looked forward to using. Being that my hair is wavy, I thought that by using this styling product I would avoid the effects of the Florida humidity. Instead, I got the completely opposite effect of having wiry and stiff hair.1
I was not a fan of this product. I could not get over the feeling it gave me when applying. It felt like I was literally rubbing sand into my hair. I was unable to use this product to style my hair after applying and was forced to wash my hair. Maybe my hair is not oily enough to appreciate the possibility of this product.1
I don't really know about this product. The extra texture added into your hair just kind of weirds me out. I've used this product a couple of times and will probably again in the future, but I don't plan on buying more anytime soon. It's good when you're in a pinch I guess.1
It feels like sand. As though instead of making a good product, they just put sand in paste and put some smell in it. I cannot not recommend this product enough.1
I was really looking forward to this in my Birchbox this month, but was left a little disappointed. I have really thick hair, and this seemed to up the volume a bit too much. They dry shampoo definitely did its job; but given the choice, I'd rather just wash my hair.1
To be honest, this hair product was rather disgusting. It made my hair feel very dry and gross and it was hard to apply. I would rather prefer a more wet or paste type hair gel, I could barely apply this to we hair, let alone dry, you would have to pull your hair out to get this stay.1
This was the first time using a product like this and it's just not for me. left my hair with a chaulky feeling.1
I think this is a product that people will either love or hate. I fall into the latter camp. One of the biggest knocks that has nothing to do with this product is it goes after a look that I am not interested in. I did give it a shot and really didn't like how the product felt on my head. It felt like I had been at the beach all day with sand still stuck to my hair. I think this product would work if the bedhead look is what you are after but this is absolutely not a product I will ever use again.1
