A shower isn't the only solution for flat or greasy hair. Hanz de Fuko's medium-hold product is one part styling wax, one part dry shampoo, using diatomaceous earth (a soft, pumice-like rock) to suck up excess oil while adding both volume and texture.
I like the idea of a dry shampoo--this works really well on lazy Sunday mornings.4
Was looking for a secondary hair product for non greasy look. Glad it made its way into my box!5
Works well and has great hold. It has an interesting oatmeal-like scent, which is nice, but unexpected. Overall, it is good but not stand out.4
This stuff works pretty well. It doesn't leave your hair greasy.4
I am not a fan of the smell or the texture of the product but I gave it a shot. It does have a good hold that does last.3
Delivers what it promises..."beach" hair. I did not like the smell or consistency. It's very coarse and smells like clay/earthy.3
Not a big hair product guy but I love this - will be buying5
This product does exactly what it says. Great product that can be used every day.5
I was very excited to see that I had gotten a Hanz de Fuko Quicksand sample with my first Brichbox! I had heard of it from a friend who has become an avid supporter of Birchbox. Upon using it I was intrigued by the texture and loved the smell. However as the day went by, I noticed that the feel of my hair became increasingly tougher. Although I thoroughly enjoyed the product, I think the texture from the pumice may be a bit much for me. I will definitely try Hanz de Fuko again to see which products work best for my personal hair care.3
The Quicksand is an apt name because the texture is a little gritty, which is a plus to me. It gives my hair a matte finish and just enough hold, but without feeling too gritty or greasy when I run my hands through it. Also, it has a really nice natural smell.5
