A shower isn't the only solution for flat or greasy hair. This medium-hold product is one part styling wax, one part dry shampoo, using diatomaceous earth (a soft, pumice-like rock) to suck up excess oil while adding both volume and texture.
Totally unique ... Really like the texture and overall feel I get when applied ... Addicted to this product and will be using for the foreseeable future.5
So maybe it's supposed to soak up oils, but my hair felt like it was heated by a blowdryer for an hour and someone threw sand in it. Instead of a matte finish, I just looked like I didn't do anything to my hair.2
Not a fan. Gives a descent natural dry look, but feels greasy and nasty. After you put it on, you need to wash your hands 3 times before its off, same with washing out of hair. The scent is rather unpleasant too.2
I really enjoyed the sample so I bought the full size product. I have thinning hair so I didn't want anything to make my hair silky. The quicksand allows a dry finish, although it can be tough to comb through. I would recommend styling with your fingers rather than a comb.4
The quicksand works well but I would recommend having some time between putting in on and going out. Give yourself a good 10-15min to let the smell dissipate and you'll be all good to go3
I bathe frequently...that doesn't really work for this product. I also have a thick head of hair, and this viscous paste isn't easy to move through it, even after warming a tiny bit up.2
awesome smell, non-wet look. Sandy smooth feel gives it a lot of texture and helps it to feel soft without all of the wetness of normal gels.5
It feels fairly dry and I had a bit of trouble getting used to this product. Overall it's alright, but I am not impressed.4
I have fairly long, thin wavy hair and when I get up on Saturday morning it tends to have that "it has been a rough week" look. This stuff does quickly gives me control of my hair and has great longevity. I must warn that it can give you a sort of hay quality if applied too liberally. There is a fine balance to this one but, it is well worth it once struck.4
This quicksand is a little too much when it comes to me. I like being able to run my hands through my hair and this has too tight of a hold. Also it tends to not break down as much as I'd like.3
