When it comes to evaluating new hair care products, we look for the three S’s: soft, shiny, strong. This fragrant serum delivers all three, making it one of our new favorites. Incidentally, since we’re also suckers for that other big S, scent, we can’t get enough of the amber and vanilla notes that drift up every time we flip our hair.
I have used this product for about six months and I'm not sure if I received a bad batch but the oil turned into a rather foul smell. It worked beautifully before and the scent was very rich. It looks like a residue collected in the bottom of the jar and that is when it turned. Kind of bummed out by it.1
it's just an okay product nume and macadamia oil work better than this product I feel like I could get something similiar at the drug store1
Unfortunately, this product does not work for me.
I tried it on damp hair, and my hair was so frizzy a few hours later, my friend even called my hair poofy. I tried it on dry hair and it just mad it look streaked with oil. So I tried comging it through the hair to make sure it was distributed evenly and my hair just got bigger with every stroke. I also noted static, which I have not experienced before. I also do not like the scent- I think vanilla belongs in food and don't even use it as a room deoderizer or candle scent. So if you don't like vanilla, you likely won't care for this product.
Maybe I put too much in but I did not like this at all. My hair felt greasy and I had to shampoo it twice for it to feel clean again. I could not read the bottle as the writing was teeny.1
I have a sensitivity to Argan oil, so this product was not a good idea to try. However, my hair did feel nice and hydrated after blow drying and styling.1
Pros: amazing scent, good-sized bottle.
Cons: it's difficult to handle the glass bottle when your hands are slippery from applying the serum to your hair.
True story: 1st time using the the product, I poured a bit of the serum into the palm of my hand. I then applied it to my hair and worked it over. Decided I needed a touch more so I picked the bottle back up and it slipped right out of my hands, hitting the tile floor in the bathroom and shattered instantly. Not only was it a huge mess, but it was $$ down the drain. Also, I didn't get to experience the product enough to know if I like it or not. I was too annoyed to purchase it again. :(
Make sure you have a towel handy to dry your hands when using this elixir.
If you have fine straight hair that can run on the oily side, this product isn't for you. I imagine thick, curly, frizzy hair would love this. I just can not use oil on my thin hair.2
I got orofluido elixir in my birchbox couple of months ago. It smells heavenly and it leaves the hair so shiny and soft. I use about a drop or two in wet hair and then blow dry or air dry and then straighten. I got so many compliments on my hair. I ordered a full size right away!2
This serum didn't leave my hair greasy, but it also didn't moisturize the way I hoped it would. My hair felt the same after using it and I used a good amount. There are definitely cheaper, more hydrating options out there.2
Smells great, but didn't really notice a difference when using it. If anything it just left my hair oily.2
