Some imperfections are endearing (think: Lauren Hutton's famous smile), but there are certain flaws we’d prefer to keep under wraps. Lucky for us, Paula’s Choice RESIST BHA 9 for Stubborn Imperfections tackles acne scars, rosacea, wrinkles, blemishes, and so much more.
I've only been using this product for about two weeks and have seen a very small difference in my problem areas. After a month or so I think it should yield some good resuls4
The title of my review says it all...there wasn't enough of a sample to really get a good feel for this product.2
I used this product everyday for about a week or so on my blemishes and dark spots, and honestly, I didn't see a difference. It didn't get rid of my blemishes or lighten the dark spots. It didn't dry up my skin though, so that's nice.2
I have blemish-prone, oily skin. I have tried every product on the market it seems... But I hadn't tried this. Wow. To those who stated that the sample size wasn't big enough, I have to disagree. I have used it as a spot-treatment (and my face has a lot of spots!) for the last week and a half or so, each night, and still have about 1/2 the sample left. In that time I have seen a reduction in acne scarring, decrease in enlarged pores, and significant healing improvement on existing blemishes. Acne that would usually take a week + to heal, is healed in 3 days or less with this product. I was bummed to see that I had to join the wait-list, when I'm ready to purchase the full size now; however, it will be worth the wait.5
I have been trying this on my blemishes and I feel like it was somewhat effective. I put it on one blemish and it went away within a day but then I also put it on another in a nearby place and it is slowly going away. Its been 3 days and not much has happened. I thought this product was supposed to help stubborn blemishes but I think it helped for light blemishes here and there.3
I was excited to try this because it said that it would diminish pores and help clear up skin. I applied this for about a week over my regular skin care routine. It did seem to help lighten up the dark spots but I broke out into cystic acne all over my face. Maybe this works for other people but I wouldn't buy it. I also don't like that it has pg in it either.1
I used this for the first time last night. I've been having some really awful breakouts in the chin area that have left me using tons of cover-up and powder. Last night I went through the usual routine of washing my face, etc and at the end I put this product on my blemishes. this morning I woke up and was amazed. Not all of the problem area was gone, mind you, but I was amazed with how much better my skin looked. Birchbox is out of stock of this right now, but as soon as it's back it's being purchased.5
The product did exactly what is says for the most part. It did leave my skin a little dry and irritated but I do have very sensitive skin and I used it as a spot treatment to the irritation was very minimal.3
Paula's Choice has some of my favorite skincare products. I have very oily skin and the Resist BHA 9 is a great exfoliator for my skin. I would have liked a bit larger sample to get 5 days use out of it.4
I honestly didn't think the sample was large enough for me to get a real result. I didn't think the result that I got from the uses I was able to get out of the tiny sample were anything worth the price. I've still got redness and didn't notice much difference difference with my pores. Maybe I'd have a different opinion if I the sample were bigger and I'd been able to get more use of the product.2
