Some imperfections are endearing (think: Lauren Hutton's famous smile), but there are certain flaws we’d prefer to keep under wraps. Lucky for us, Paula’s Choice RESIST BHA 9 for Stubborn Imperfections tackles acne scars, rosacea, wrinkles, blemishes, and so much more.
I have stubborn hormonal acne so I wasn't really expecting a miracle, but this product really didn't do much for me.3
I'm with the others. I received this as a sample and it's so small I have no idea if it works or not. I like the sound of it, but....2
The sample size was so small for this product, I used it 3 times and couldn't really tell that it made any difference in any of the places I applied it. I put it on really thinly - it was hard to tell how much to use, and I was also afraid of spilling it out of the small glass tube, which didn't seem ideal for a serum. The fullsize product is priced too high for me to buy it & try more.1
I read other reviews about this before trying my sample and was pretty skeptical, but I'm seeing a lot of stress breakouts on my face these days and can't seem to stop picking at them, so anything to help reduce the time and color was worth a shot. Since I planned to only use it for spot treatment, I found it easiest to dip a q-tip into the sample container to get a pretty small amount on the cotton, and then applied it as needed. So far, I'm really impressed. A few bigger breakouts have cleared up much faster than normal, and it significantly reduced redness from an older blemish that didn't disappear so gracefully; in fact, now that spot is hardly noticeable, even without foundation. It'll be a big splurge for this sort of product if I decide to go for it, but I'm seriously considering. Seems very useful to have on hand. It did dry my skin a bit where applied, but I have very combination skin; some parts were absolutely fine, some got a little flaky. A bit of extra moisturizer in those spots seemed to take care of it for the most part.4
I was skeptical if this would do anything as I don't have many skin problems, but i did notice a difference after using it. A little bit goes a long way. Good stuff.5
The upside - a tiny bit of this got rid of a bad spot for me in just a day and a half. But I also tried to use it on more run of the mill clogged pores and my sensitive skin practically broke out in a rash - red, dry. Not for me.3
The sample size was too small to detect whether there would be a change over time or simply a superficial temporary feel.3
It cleared up blemishes pretty well after one use, but wasn't effective when I used it again.3
I loved this product but not enough to switch with what I am currently using.5
I liked the consistency, but I just didn't see results. Maybe you need to use it for a long time for my problem (wrinkles). I actually have very dry skin, so I don't need acne help. I did want to try on wrinkles....but after 6 nights, no results. Also, I would prefer a "dropper" to dispense.1
