Some imperfections are endearing (think: Lauren Hutton's famous smile), but there are certain flaws we’d prefer to keep under wraps. Lucky for us, Paula’s Choice RESIST BHA 9 for Stubborn Imperfections tackles acne scars, rosacea, wrinkles, blemishes, and so much more.
I was very curious to try this unscented and oily serum, and was disappointed that I don't really feel that it made a difference in my skin. Maybe just a few tries is not enough for it to be effective?2
How can I tell if this product can correct problems when the sample is so tiny??? I think I might have liked it, but the price is too high to take the gamble on a full size purchase.3
I think this product could be good, but the sample was so small it's hard to get a good read on it. Works for what I had at least.4
Holy cow, this stuff is AMAZING! I get stubborn blackheads that just won't quit and develop into larger blemishes if I'm not careful. After I received the sample in my monthly box and tried it a few nights in a row, I simply HAD to buy it because it does what it says it'll do - it has diminished red marks from old breakouts and blasts through blemishes and blackheads like nobody's business. It feels a little tingly after application and takes quite a while to dry (I'm sure why they suggest using only at night), but wow does it work. Woke up the first morning after using it and my blemishes were half the size of what they were the night before, if not smaller. Cleared up within 3 days. Red marks from old breakouts lightened. And amazingly, did not irritate my extremely sensitive and dermatitis-prone skin. Definitely my new zit blaster of choice!5
I tried this product on my trouble spots and it worked quickly. My skin is looking great and this product didnt dry my skin like other acne products do.4
This probably helped clear up blemishes a tad but mostly it dried out my skin. My skin does not respond well to traditional blemish treatment so this was not much of a surprise. Another thing that bothered me was the warning on the packaging saying that women should ask their doctor about it if they are pregnant or nursing.2
I think it may have been working, but the sample size was so small that I can't tell. It felt oily on my already oily skin so I was hesitant to use it, but while it didn't clear breakouts, it did seem to help a bit with the size of my pores and my skin texture.4
I've used this for a few nights now, and haven't noticed any change to my skin or imperfections. I have a "trouble spot" on my forehead I was hoping it'd clear up [at least the redness], but so far I'm disappointed. Still hoping it'll show something in the next few days.3
I did like the texture of the product because it was dense when you apply it on your hands and face. But since it was a very small sample, I do not think I can see the full effect. I applied on dark spots and noticed just a small hint of difference but not a big difference.3
I usually use a drying lotion for my acne and it was nice to try something new. I really like that I can use this during the night in place of the drying lotion. My pimple i used it on wasn't more inflamed the next day but did not disappear.3
