You can think of BHA as salicylic acid's dapper nom de plume. (The two ingredients are one and the same.) Whatever you call it, BHA is a clinically proven blemish-buster with the added bonus of increasing collagen production for smoother skin. Not only that, but it's the powerhouse ingredient behind this nonirritating liquid. The formula works to calm redness and rosacea and is strong enough to dislodge the most stubborn blackheads and degrease pores down to their oiliest depths. While BHA is the star on the antiacne and antibacterial front, green tea extract helps soothe skin with reparative antioxidants.
This stuff was not good for my sensitive skin AT all. It didn't help me one bit because I looked like I was sunburned in the spots I put it on! Yikes1
I'm not quite sure if I used this product wrong or what - but every time I apply it, within about 5 minutes I am left with this filmy layer on my skin. It feels dirty and oily. Not a fan at all.1
I did not like this product at all. it didn't exfoliate my skin. it had a strange glitter coming off of it... and the smell was AWFUL!!! so would not recommend this to anyone.1
I was excited when I received this in my Birchbox- I had been looking forward to a new exfoliated to try. However, everything went downhill once I tried it. I broke out rather horribly, and it took a few weeks to clear up my skin. So not happy with this.1
I was wondering if the wrong labeling was put on bottle? Product says, "exfoliating" yet, product is not exfoliating at all. Product is a clear liquid that resembles at toner. There is nothing in the product that would resemble or work as an "exfoliator" .Not at all impressed with this product...1
This product was too harsh for my skin. It left it red and dry - never had that problem before using it. As soon as I stopped my skin returned to normal.1
My skin is sensitive to the active ingredient, couldnt use my sample included in my birchbox. Gave it to a friend who said positive things however!1
I only used this once and it burned my skin horribly. I was expecting a traditional gritty exfoliant- not a liquid. I had a rash for several days after applying this product.1
Hard to say with this product: at best, it didn't do anything, at worst, it gave me pimples. I used it for three nights in a row and my skin got worse - I stopped using it, my skin cleared up.1
I use a lot of products routinely that have 2% salicylic acid and never get skin irritation. But this stuff made my skin red and extremely rough in texture - like absolute sandpaper. I don't know what other ingredient in this product caused the irritation, so I'll probably steer clear of the whole brand just to be safe.1
