We’re all about self-acceptance, but instead of just living with complexion annoyances, we’re turning to Paula’s Choice RESIST Optimal Results Hydrating Cleanser to fight back. The lightweight formula gently whisks away the day (and night), while it works over time to correct discoloration and blemishes, preserve skin’s moisture balance, and fight wrinkles.
I've been trying gentle facial cleansers for years, and I think this is the first time my face didn't feel tight and dry after a wash.4
I've been a PC customer for years and years and have been very satisfied with her products. I'm in my late 50s and have dry, sensitive skin. The resist line is my go to. It's gentle enough to use every day but still has the AHA and retinol that fights the fine wrinkles and age discoloration. I took away a star because the resist cleanser isn't great at removing all makeup. It's a thick and creamy cleanser that doesn't lather. It's great for dry skin. Paula's Choice has an extensive line and something for every skin type.4
After seeing several reviews stating that this was the perfect product for combination skin I decided to give it a try. This product really doesn't strip skin of all oils- my cheeks are no longer painfully dry and flakey after a shower (even with moisturizer.) The downside is that I am now (three weeks into trying it) consistently getting small breakouts along my T zone.
Overall: great for dry skin, not the thing for combination skin.
Finished my Environ skin cleanser and really didn't want to spend that much for a cleanser. This one got good reviews, so thought I'd give it a try. My skin is Normal, but this cleanser made it dry, not hydrated, as its name claims. Returned it and am now using Olay Foaming Face Wash for Sensitive Skin. Oil-free, fragrance free, and makes my skin very balanced.2
I love PC products, but I didn't find this to be as great as the other products. It just seems to be ok, and maybe that's ok?3
At first I was a little disappointed with this cleanser but the longer I used it the softer my skin became. Its a non-foaming lotion that rinses off cleanly. I use a separate eye makeup remover and just this cleanser to remove the rest of my makeup. I don't use heavy makeup and I don't think this would remove everything for someone who applies a lot or heavier foundation. I particularly love it in the morning when I don't have any makeup on but need something to refresh my skin.
I'm 49 with normal to dry skin without sensitivity.
It cleanses well without drying the skin. It takes a little time to get used to a cleanser that doesn't foam, but it gets the job done. I use it every night, haven't noticed anything extraordinary about it. Think I'll keep looking for a cleanser I love after this one runs out.4
This cleanser is good and very moisturizing. If you are looking for a deep cleanser I didn't get that from this product. I feel it gets the top surface clean but not down deep. But for an every day cleaner I think it is good. Was moisturizing and does not leave my skin dry.4
I was looking for a cleanser for my highly reactive, sensitive/rosacea skin. This cleanser is lightweight but I did have some sensitivity after using it. I wanted it to work because it's also an anti-aging product.3
I have yet to meet a Paula's choice product I didn't love. It's the only line that has helped both my dry skin and my tendency to break out if moisturizer comes near my face . I can't reccomend the resist line enough. I also have melasma and have seen amazing improvements in the lightening of my dark patches since using these products.5
