We were contemplating shipping our unruly locks off to reform school—that is, until we stumbled across this taskmaster of a styling treatment. It’s basically a drill sergeant for our hair. With just a few spritzes, it hydrates, repairs, protects against heat damage and color fading, prevents split ends, and boosts shine. And it has a tougher side too: The deceptively lightweight formula tames frizz, detangles, and demands more volume from limp strands (which promptly obey).
It worked as a detangler, my hair was easy to comb through after using it. There was a noticeable difference in the size of my hair after blow drying. Instead of my usual huge poof ball it was much smoother. My hair is wavy/curly and products like this sometimes weigh my hair down so that I can't curl it after blow drying. But in this case I was able to get some curl. The smell was a little much when I first sprayed it on bu after blow drying it had mellowed out and my hair smelled nice.3
I really like this product. I love the smell and it left my hair feeling extremely soft. I wouldn't recommend this product if you have fine hair. I have very thick hair and it weighed it down quite a bit, but then again, it needs to be weighed down. I think it would take all the body out of fine hair.5
At first I replaced my normal smoothing product with this, however I have wavy/curly hair and it didn't have enough structure for me, and my curls were laying flat. So I used it my regular product over this one and I'm now having the best darn hair day I've had in a long time.
I will try this product under my normal hair products again and see if I have the same results, if I do? I will buy the full size.
It made my hair very smooth and reduced fuzzies without making my hair crunchy.
Just a note: It smells like laundry sheets, which for me was kinda of weird, but if you like that smell in your hair you will love this product.
I loved how the product gave me a wonderful, shiny, bouncy blowout, but the scent is too strong, and clashes with the light floral fragrances I like to wear in the summer. If you like the scent, it would be wonderful!4
This product is very good for detangling and it made my hair silky soft after use. The only downside for me was that my hair is already too thick and it seemed to up the volume. So, if you want volume, then it definitely works for that as well! All the other aspects of the product were wonderful!4
I don't hate this product, but it didn't stand out to me. There are other products that promise the exact same benefits as this one and are better because they don't smell as odd as this one. It's not the worst smell ever, but I feel like it too overpowering and stays with me to be a smell I want lingering in my hair all day. The other odd this about this product is that after a few uses the rest of the product gooped up in the bottom and is unusable.3
I liked this leave-in treatment because it came in a spray pump, which made it easy to use on all hair types and locations (ends vs roots etc). I wasn't super crazy about the smell, but it didn't offend me. Once my hair dried, I couldn't smell it anyways.4
I sprayed this on my short, fine hair and was left with an oily-looking mop. And, the scent... I can't get over the scent because it's just awful.
I have very limp hair, and I was impressed that this product was able to get my locks to achieve the volume that I normally get by using three different balms, sprays, and mouses. I liked that my hair did not feel dirty after using this spray, and it protected my hair from fading--something that I value now that I get regular hair dye jobs. I used this product a bunch during the week I was on vacation...it was nice to not have to carry around my normal supply of products, and it also proved to make my hair look great after long days in the sun and out by the pool.5
I have very fine, straight hair that really does not require much in terms of hair products. This effectively detangled and left my hair feeling smooth and even slightly volumized. My only complaint would be the scent- I didn't dislike it necessarily, but it is a bit overpowering.4
