Sometimes we get the urge to skip the all-important post-shower moisturizing step, but these intensely moisturizing body creams rid us of any such impulse. Each cream comes in a distinctive French-inspired fragrance and is infused with natural, nongreasy hydrators and to banish all manner of chapping and flaking.
First, I was a little put off from the start about this product because the sample had evaporated to a pinch. So, I tried it on my hands and I didn't fall in love. It was just ok. The fragrance was a bit strong and clashed with my perfume. Just not for me.2
My hands were in desperate needs for some lotion. They were dry and cracked and red, but not anymore! The lotion worked great but i did no care for the scent. Hopefully one of the others will work well.5
The scent was OK in my opinion. The product felt sticky on my skin after I applied it. I did feel like it made my skin soft, but I did not like the stickiness factor.3
I did not like the scent, terranga, but did like the way it felt. I thought it was interesting that it needed to warm in my hand first.3
Full disclosure: when it comes to bath and body products, I'm a drugstore purchaser, and I prefer subtle or sweet scents depending on whether I'm wearing perfume. For a higher-end product that falls into this category, it really has to wow me in terms of efficacy and scent. While this is a perfectly nice product, it wasn't any more moisturizing than my drugstore purchases, and I wasn't a huge fan of the Femme scent I received. Because it's so hard to convert me away from my current products, I intentionally did not sign up for bath and body products in my BB account settings, so I think this sample was just a mismatch for me. Not sure how helpful this review is, but there you go.2
Not to diminish the otherwise excellent moisturizing properties of this product, but "Femme" smells like the cosmetics aisle at Eckerd in 1996, and pencil shavings.2
First off, I was very excited to hear of Tiossan's philanthropic mission (which uses parts of the proceeds toward the construction of schools in Senegal) which was presented in the Birchbox sneak peek video. Furthermore, it is refreshing to read on their website that Tiossan's line of products are cruelty free/vegan all the while keeping true to ancient Senegalese artisanal recipes.
The cream itself has a distinct appeasing tropical scent (I got the "fatale" body cream) and has an instant refreshing feel once it's applied. The one "drawback" from the scent is that it is pungent and might not mesh well with an added fragrance. But overall, this product exceeds my expectations and I would absolutely recommend it!
This smells so delicious! Remins e of a perfume oil I used to wear.5
Love the creamy texture and smell. Also the idea behind this product is amazing.4
I like the smell and consistency of this lotion. It's very softening.4
