We don’t leave the house without a pack of gum or mints stashed in our purse (because impromptu cravings can strike anytime). Now Tea Forte, known for their stylish tisanes, is introducing clever mints that have both wellness and breath-sweetening properties. All-natural and sugar-free, Minteas are infused with organic green tea, herbs, and fruit extracts to give you an instant antioxidant boost. Better yet, they freshen breath and taste delicious.
My minteas tin is extremely hard to get into! I was able to open it when I first got it, but now, it's almost impossible to open. The last time I tried to open it, I spent almost 5 minutes in vain trying to pry it open, then I resulted to throwing it around the room hoping it would pop loose, finally I decided to get out my flathead screwdriver and pry open the lid, but I managed to stab myself in the hand with the screwdriver in the process! Needless to say, it took much too much effort to open the tin. I feel that the way the tin is shaped is not conducive for someone trying to get a grip to open the lid. On another note, the mints themselves are alright, but nothing special enough for me to go out of my way to buy, especially when I can't even open the product without a screwdriver!3
I am a big fan of all things tea, especially matcha flavored things like lattes, candies, baked goods, etc., so this product was right up my alley. However the taste of mine (I think match chai?? It's not one of the three listed) was a little too spiced up. Otherwise I really love the idea of tea mints and think its a great little product but I think I would like the other flavors more!4
they looked great and tasted great it was just the smell of them that was a turn off3
I loved these mints! They traveled well in my bag and were a great way to freshen up during the day!4
I'm not a huge lemongrass person, so I immediately wrote off the lemongrass-yuzu-flavored mints in my Birchbox this month. While tidying up a few weeks later, I found the Minteas tin, figured, "what the hey!," and threw them in my purse. I was in desperate need of a mint one day, and figured I'd try these out; I was pleasantly surprised! The lemongrass was pretty subtle and added nicely to the flavor combination, which wasn't overpowering, as some mints are. My breath felt fresh for a while after the mint was gone, which was an added plus. I have a feeling I'll finish off this tin, but I probably wouldn't buy another one because there are other flavors I like better. Also I don't feel any more "relaxed" after having a mint, but that's okay! I get that new brands gotta do something to set themselves apart.4
These were surprisingly wonderful. I don't think I would pay $10.00 for a three pack but I would pay $7-8 for a three pack.4
I was not a fan of these mints. I found the flavor to be quite bland.2
I got the chai flavor, and thought they were pretty ok. The packaging was a bit difficult to open, but nothing where I felt I needed someone else to help me (as others mentioned). The flavor was good, but the after taste wasn't something I enjoyed.4
I really like mint chocolate chip ice cream and this mint reminded me a little of it. It had a nice smooth cocoa taste although it's a green tea mint. It's not the most nice-smelling thing, but its taste is much better than how it smells. I don't have much of a reaction to caffeine so I'm not sure if it helped keep me awake, but it certainly did taste good!4
These mints taste great and the packaging is adorable, but in my opinion they are pretty pricey to actually purchase!3
