Gone are the days of harsh, shaky liquid liner. Jouer's Liquid Shimmer Eyeliner makes it easy to get a gorgeous look by combining pearlized shades that are more forgiving than other liners with an easy-to-use applicator. The paraben-free, water-based formula is infused with natural ingredients like vitamins A and E to ensure that your cat eye goes on smoothly and stays crease-free. As for the colors, you can’t go wrong with these rich hues.
I was really disappointed with my Jouer Liquid Shimmer Eyeliner. The brush applicator is hard to control, and the product itself is very thin so it runs everywhere. It is impossible to apply this without making a mess, even if you're experienced with liquid eyeliner. I was not impressed with the color payoff or the lasting power on this product.1
I bought the mink color and it is too dark. Not what I wanted and not close to the color they show2
I purchased the dark color. It is hard to apply and make even lines. It doesn't stay on the lash line. Too much comes off on the applicator.3
color is nice, but smears. and if it gets wet, you are guaranteed raccoon eyes. it's one of the smallest liquid eyeliners I've ever seen, so its good for travel. its got a fine brush tip, not pen, which means you need a bit of skill with liquid eyeliner to use.3
I have very fair skin and I chose a nude-ish shade. It's so light that when I apply my shadow it almost diesppears. Plus, it's a really SMALL bottle. I used it a few times but don't recommend purchasing it.3
I thought the consistency was nice but the color was not an everyday go to for me. Much more specific than I had thought. Did stay through the day and very easy to apply.3
I should have known by the color "mink" it was brown, but the color in the photo made it look like a rose gold which is what I wanted. That's why I took off one star. The eyeliner itself is great. The wand is short so it's easy to manage. The color is not very vibrant, but that's what I like about it. It's a light shimmery brown & looks great with my Naked rose gold palette & fair skin tone. I really wish Jouer offered a rose gold option because I would buy that for the rest of my life.4
I ordered the mink color, which was just a little darker than I was hoping for, but, from the other reviews I read before purchasing, was no surprise. It's a bit darker than the color shown, and offers a subtle and neutral shimmer (oh hey, like the name), vs a bolder and more noticeable sparkle. Something ladies will notice, but your average fella wouldn't be able to point out.
The liner goes on thick and creamy, which I feel really did make it easy to put on smoothly and evenly, but also meant that I put on a little more than I was expecting at first. Obviously easily fixed once you are more familiar with the product.
Also like other reviewers mentioned, it seems to smear fairly easily, so if you touch your face a lot, or often forget to take your makeup off at the end of the day, you will likely find that there is a subtle shimmer to more than just your eyes.
I like how light and natural I am able to make this liner look. I also like that it has a bit of sparkle. The only thing I would do differently is order a darker color for more dramatic look.4
I like the product, but it's not easy to work with unless you're really precise. It can look messy, instead of effortless if you're not careful. I think the lighter color would be easier to work with, the dark is just a little more difficult. It is pigmented and it does have staying power. If you're good with liquids and dark colors, I definitely recommend this!4
