Anyone who's suffered from chapped cheeks or painful redness after using a rough facial scrub knows that not all exfoliators are created equal. This powerful microdermabrasion treatment instantly brightens all skin types by gently buffing away dead skin cells, revealing radiant, healthy skin underneath. All-natural jojoba, aloe vera, and chamomile soothe, soften, and refresh this newly exposed skin. Over time, it even reduces the appearance of fine lines, acne marks, and discoloration. The best part? No appointment-making hassle or big spend necessary: The citrus-scented exfoliant is designed to mimic in-office treatments but can be used at home.
I do not like this product at all. It smells like you are putting kitchen cleaner on your face. Definitely too expensive. Even if I could get over the smell, I don't feel is mimics in office treatments at all.1
I have very dry and sensitive skin, after using this product I felt like my skin was burning off. At first I thought it was a result of the exfoliating, but after using a different product I realized that this was not the case. If you have dry, sensitive skin, I would think twice about this product.1
The cooling sensation was not pleasant on my sensitive skin, plus the smell was way too strong and smelled like kitchen cleaning products. I rarely hate a product and sadly this was one of them.1
The moment I applied this to my face it started burning. I don't have super sensitive skin normally either. Good thing there's a company like Birchbox, whose sample hopefully saved several customers with the same issue from spending a lot of money on the full-size version at any retailer.1
I enjoyed this exfoliant for about 4 seconds - then I felt like it was ripping my skin off. My face was sore after using this. This product was far to abrasive for my face. It might be good on elbows or feet though.1
I'm sure the product works for some people but because I have brown skin I found that this
product gave my skin some discoloration. I used it gently as described but I still received
hyper-pigmented areas on my face. I've had microdermabrasion done by a dermatology's in the past with great results, but have not had luck with do it yourself products like this one.
I don't think this product is for me. I don't usually have skin issues until I put a bunch of product on my face and I don't like to put a lot of stuff on my face.1
I have very delicate skin, I swear a product could just be on a shelf and make my face miserable. Despite that I gave this a go, it was just to harsh for my skin. Red spots of blood raised to the surface of my skin (but not broken skin) from using as directed.1
This product was a little too rough on my skin. I don't typically have overly sensitive skin but once and a while my skin can react to products. It feels a bit smoother than some exfoliants I've tried but the after effect on my skin was long-lasting redness and irritation. Not similar to an allergic reaction. I like the brand overall and haven't been irritated by any other products they make.1
This was a nice exfoliator, but nothing I couldn't get from the grocery store. When I saw the $78 price tag, I actually laughed in disbelief! Get a nice, mid-priced brand and spend the extra on a fancy Boscia mask.1
