Anyone who's suffered from chapped cheeks or painful redness after using a rough facial scrub knows that not all exfoliators are created equal. This powerful microdermabrasion treatment instantly brightens all skin types by gently buffing away dead skin cells, revealing radiant, healthy skin underneath. All-natural jojoba, aloe vera, and chamomile soothe, soften, and refresh this newly exposed skin. Over time, it even reduces the appearance of fine lines, acne marks, and discoloration. The best part? No appointment-making hassle or big spend necessary: The citrus-scented exfoliant is designed to mimic in-office treatments but can be used at home.
The size of this sample was on the smaller size to begin with. Sad to find that the container wasn't even half full. Only enough product for one use. Probably better that way considering that this product smelled like a lemon floor cleaner. Certainly not the best product in its category.1
I used this product for a couple days before my skin started breaking out and getting irritated. If you have sensitive skin... DO NOT USE!1
I have normal skin sometimes oily zone but for some reason when I use this product the moment I rubbed it on my face gently it felt like it was burning all the dead skin cells off!!!! it was burning so bad I thought maybe that is what is does but it was so bad .my skin was feeling like it was burning off I had to instantly wash it off with cold water!1
This is more of a gritty paste than a true microderm product. I wouldn't even call it gentle- I just found it ineffective for my combination skin. Also, it straight up smells like lemon pledge..not cute to scrub on your face!1
Being 44 years old, I usually steer away from microdermabrasion products. With older skin, I need to retain as much moisture as possible, and abrasive products can hurt, and it did! I toned and put moisturizer on after using it and it caused my moisturizer to sting a little. So in my opinion... I would not recommend this if you are over 40 (unless you know you like abrasive-type products and/or have oily skin). However, the scent is absolutely Wonderful! If they made a perfume in this scent I'd buy it!1
im not really liking this product i wore it for a while and it didn't seem to make a difference. i will try it some more and see if it ends up working better but so far I'm not impressed with it1
I don't know why Birchbox wants me to take a layer of skin off my face, but I get some kind of microdermabrasion or exfoliant in almost all of my Birchboxes. This was the gentlest I've received, but also the least effective. It smelled really lemony and nice and didn't burn or feel really abrasive. I didn't feel like it did anything either.1
This is a fabulous face product but when I looked to see how much it would cost to purchase it, I nearly choked. I like my face feeling so fresh and clean but at that price the stuff needs to last a year or more!1
I took a break from my much-loved exfoliator to try this sample... And I wish I hadn't. The smell alone is enough to make me discard it! It smells exactly like lemon floor cleaner. Not exactly what I want to clean my face with. It also felt very harsh. I know that it was made to exfoliate, but it doesn't need to feel like I'm scratching at my skin when I rub it in. Sorry Dr. Brandt, but back to my old product I go.1
I have dry, sensitive skin and find that exfoliants just cause more harm than good. This one is no exception. While this product is more gentle than other exfoliants I've tried, it still hurts my skin and leaves it red. The sickly-sweet smell didn't appeal to me either. My skin did feel a bit smoother after use but there is no way I can justify the pain this product causes my face or my wallet ($78-- are you kidding me?!).1
