Marathon sessions of Breaking Bad, late-night Facebooking, and incessant Instagramming can be tough on the already-sensitive skin around your eyes. Since stepping away from the computer screen is probably not an option, consider instead this natural eye gel from Yes To™ Cucumbers. The soothing formula reduces puffiness, brightens dark circles, and strengthens the delicate skin under your eyes.
I never tried a sample of this product but went solely off reviews and hopes that it would be a god product. After trying it for approximately a month or more, I threw it in the garbage...wast of money.1
I was a little disappointed with this product since i am a regular of the YesTo line. I use the Carrot line without much issue, but when i saw this was for sensitive skin, i decided to try it out. Unfortunately this product does nothing but burn the skin around my eyes. I am sticking with the Carrot line.1
I purchased this eye gel to help with undereye puffiness. Though the product feels refreshing I haven't noticed a different in my undereye bags.2
For the first week I didn't see any difference in my under-eye health but it felt nice to put on. I kept mine in the fridge so that it was cold. However, I suddenly had a reaction to it and had to stop using it :( I think it was strengthening the skin, dark circles and puffiness, maybe I would have seen results with long term use.3
I recently realized I should start using some kind of eye cream and since I love the Yes To Cucumbers makeup removal wipes, I thought this might be a good product to try. It's definitely soothing, as the packaging promises. But I've found that it's very easy to pump out just a little bit too much. And if you apply just a little bit too much then it tends to not absorb into the skin properly and make the under-eye area sort of sticky.
Definitely wouldn't recommend wearing this under makeup. I haven't tried it with a full face of makeup, but even just wearing mascara with the gel made the mascara transfer a bit, leaving me with dark circles under my eyes.
As for the brightening circles and strengthening eye skin bit, I've been using it for a bit now, and I don't see any difference in my dark circles. My under-eye skin is less dried out and sensitive now, so that's a plus. But I probably wouldn't buy this again because I'm not pleased with the way the gel turned out for me.
I've tried so many eye creams I wanted to give a gel a shot, and the fact it was a cucumber gel sounded great. It hasn't reduced my dark circles, but it helps with puffiness, especially when applied in the morning when you get up. The cucumber smell is nice too.3
Love how it feels and smells great. The only problem is that it leaves a thick residue even if you are using a minuscule amount. Make sure to test first as it has proven to trigger an allergic reaction with my partner.3
I was hoping this would work better than it did. It does feel nice when I put it on, but I have yet to see any difference in my under eye circles. This product also tends to leave a goopy residue on the skin. Best to use without makeup.3
This feels great to apply-- very soothing and you don't have to use very much at all. My dark circles definitely look better in the morning. Only con is that it peels off and definitely cannot be worn under makeup, so night use only.3
Don't buy this if you're planning on wearing concealer or some type of eye makeup. It will leave a residue (like a peeling mask) and it will make your makeup look sloppy. I do like how it feels while putting it on because it is quite refreshing but again, not good for makeup.3
