Marathon sessions of Breaking Bad, late-night Facebooking, and incessant Instagramming can be tough on the already-sensitive skin around your eyes. Since stepping away from the computer screen is probably not an option, consider instead this natural eye gel from Yes To™ Cucumbers. The soothing formula reduces puffiness, brightens dark circles, and strengthens the delicate skin under your eyes.
This product is marked for sensitive skin however for me it proved not to be. I initially loved the results it provided, within moments a noticeable difference in the under eye area, puffiness totally gone! However after a few weeks it started having the opposite affect, within moments of using it my under eye area would turn bright red and super swollen! I tested it a few times, putting it on under my face cream/ making sure my hands were extra clean etc etc but no dice. Had to toss it out at 80% full to keep myself from using it again, the only way to get rid of the swelling and redness was a cold compress for about a half hour!. Needless to say, I cannot use this product.1
I never tried a sample of this product but went solely off reviews and hopes that it would be a god product. After trying it for approximately a month or more, I threw it in the garbage...wast of money.1
I was a little disappointed with this product since i am a regular of the YesTo line. I use the Carrot line without much issue, but when i saw this was for sensitive skin, i decided to try it out. Unfortunately this product does nothing but burn the skin around my eyes. I am sticking with the Carrot line.1
I purchased this eye gel to help with undereye puffiness. Though the product feels refreshing I haven't noticed a different in my undereye bags.2
I liked this product. I use it at the very corner under my eyes and I like the way it tightens up my skin there. It felt like it plumped up nicely. I would order this again.3
This is really just ok. It isn't great for sensitive skin/eyes. It kind of burns if it gets too close to your eyes (which is where it is supposed to go, right?) I won't be buying this again.3
I was a bit skeptical when I first bought this, but I decided to get it to test out anyways. I was pretty surprised at how big it actually is (most eye products are about 0.5oz or less). It does feel very soothing on the under eye area and I was surprised to see that it does help with puffiness (I've had bags under my eyes ever since I was little). However, my happiness was short lived when, no less than a half hour later, I began to apply makeup. As soon as I started patting concealer under my eyes, I noticed that the product had begun rolling up into tiny little balls, ruining not only my application, but also making it hard to remove said clumps. I've experimented with using less product and waiting even longer between applying it and then putting makeup on, but it hasn't made much of a difference. I'll probably keep trying until something works out, because it's really great at de-puffing.3
For the first week I didn't see any difference in my under-eye health but it felt nice to put on. I kept mine in the fridge so that it was cold. However, I suddenly had a reaction to it and had to stop using it :( I think it was strengthening the skin, dark circles and puffiness, maybe I would have seen results with long term use.3
I recently realized I should start using some kind of eye cream and since I love the Yes To Cucumbers makeup removal wipes, I thought this might be a good product to try. It's definitely soothing, as the packaging promises. But I've found that it's very easy to pump out just a little bit too much. And if you apply just a little bit too much then it tends to not absorb into the skin properly and make the under-eye area sort of sticky.
Definitely wouldn't recommend wearing this under makeup. I haven't tried it with a full face of makeup, but even just wearing mascara with the gel made the mascara transfer a bit, leaving me with dark circles under my eyes.
As for the brightening circles and strengthening eye skin bit, I've been using it for a bit now, and I don't see any difference in my dark circles. My under-eye skin is less dried out and sensitive now, so that's a plus. But I probably wouldn't buy this again because I'm not pleased with the way the gel turned out for me.
I've tried so many eye creams I wanted to give a gel a shot, and the fact it was a cucumber gel sounded great. It hasn't reduced my dark circles, but it helps with puffiness, especially when applied in the morning when you get up. The cucumber smell is nice too.3
