When we wash our faces at the end of the day, we want them to be clean—like, really clean. And that doesn’t include the smudgy remains of eye makeup that are so often left behind. This micellar water removes all traces of makeup (even that stubborn waterproof mascara) while gently cleansing and toning skin with natural and nourishing ingredients. It’s time to leave your raccoon eye days behind you.
I received this makeup remover cleansing water as a sample in one of the boxes and started using it right away. I have had trouble finding makeup removers that don't leave an oily residue on the skin after using it and this product didn't! The smell is AMAZING and you don't feel an oily residue left behind. I liked this product, but it still wasn't super easy to remove eye makeup, it took a few wipes. The price is also a bit steep in my opinion, but it does last a long time before it runs out!4
I bought a smaller size since so many people recommended it and I wanted to try it out a little before I committed to a larger amount. Overall, it's an okay cleanser if you wear very little makeup. The smell is great and it leaves your skin feeling fresh.
Even though I only really wear BB cream and eyeliner, it took me forever to get all of my makeup off and I went through dozens of cotton pads. Plus, it didn't take off any of my eye makeup. I eventually just used a makeup wipe and then went over my face again with the water.
If you wear a lot of makeup or want something that easily takes off all of your makeup, I wouldn't recommend this product. It's a nice addition for those days when you either aren't wearing makeup or want to just use a makeup wipe and do a second pass with the water, but overall not enough to do a full face of makeup.
This product was just okay to me. Even though directions says no water needed, I feel like it didn't remove all of my eye makeup and I don't wear very much. I end up using this before I wash my face with a normal cleanser.3
I was worried about trying a cleansing water because I have acne prone/sensitive skin, and follow a very strict hygiene regiment. After my first try, I noticed a difference in my skin (not to my liking) but gave it a few try's. After a few days, my face was completely irritated. Red blotches and a few break outs in my usual areas, around my cheeks and jaw line. I don't think it was the brand, I think it's the concept of a cleansing water to begin with. I would recommend that anyone with sensitive or acne prone skin, stay away from cleansing waters.2
Just purchased this a couple of days ago, but it's got to be one of my favorite make up removers! It's like I'm putting water on my face and it removes all types of make up except my heavy Eye make up. But I understand why it doesn't get rid of it since it's not waterproof. I love the smile I love the packaging I love everything about it!4
Works well wash to get off with pleasant smell and good feeling skin after5
It's been hard for me to find a makup remover that does the job but is also gentle enough for removing eye makeup and is not oily. I've developed rash and dry skin around my eyes with other products. This product is exactly what I've been looking for. The smell is really nice too!5
I was introduced to Caudalie about 3 years ago and have since only purchased their cleansing water to remove my eye makeup as well as freshening my face if I'm on the run in the morning for a few quick errands. This product is so gentle and does not dry out my skin. It makes my skin soft refreshed. Caudalie Cleansing Water as a must have in all Birchbox members makeup routine!!5
I wasn't crazy about this makeup remover but I didn't hate it either. I did like how it wasn't oily and didn't leave a residue or film on my face or eyes after I took my makeup off. I didn't like the fact that I had to scrub my eyes a few times over to take most of my makeup off. The formula is gentle on my skin and doesn't dry it out, but it just didn't take my makeup off very easily, so I probably wouldn't buy it in the full size.3
I buy this product and a few times a year. I like it; it's good for sensitive skin. I stop using it beciase it's a little drying. Instead I use Josie Maran Aragon oil. This product is good too.4
