When we wash our faces at the end of the day, we want them to be clean—like, really clean. And that doesn’t include the smudgy remains of eye makeup that are so often left behind. This micellar water removes all traces of makeup (even that stubborn waterproof mascara) while gently cleansing and toning skin with natural and nourishing ingredients. It’s time to leave your raccoon eye days behind you.
I love Caudalie products, ever since I was in high school over 10 years ago. They're great on my skin and I love the fragrance of their products, but the makeup remover was lackluster.
It made my skin really soft, but I never felt like all the makeup had been removed. It also took a lot of of product to get my mascara off, and there would always be so much left over when I woke up in the morning.
I don't wear makeup everyday, but when I do, it's the good stuff where a little goes a long way. This might work better for those with a daily, light makeup routine, not for the heavier products.
Skin type: combination/oily
Skin tone: olive
I want to love this but as new products come out I think there are better options.
When I first heard of micellar water, this was the first brand I found and I loved the way it made my skin feel. I saw a difference in my skin in about a week.
However, it is not the best makeup remover. I have to use 6-8 makeup pads to get off eyeliner, mascara and lipstick... not even touching my face or attempting to get off waterproof eye products of liquid lipsticks.
Still, the way it makes your skin look and feel is incredible. Now, I use it more like a toner. After removing my makeup and cleansing my skin, I use a cotton pad to apply this as I think it's hydrating and replenishes the oils that the cleansers strip away.
I received the cleansing water in a totally different bottle but I'm assuming it's the new packaging. That note aside, the water does work. I have a dry combination skin; so my T zone typically is super shiny then comes the super sensitive dry cheeks and rest of face. This water cleanser helped me remove make up without irritating my face or leaving it flaky dry like most other harsh cleansers. I don't use waterproof mascara so I dont have problem with stubborn stains like some reviews suggested. I give it 4 stars! well earned.3
I really like. Its light and smells good. I have sensitive skin so its not harsh. It does not burn or make my face feel tight.4
this ,is worth the extra little work then, cleansing wipes and make up removers. it leaves skin clean ,soft and all make up gone .now that's a good hard working product .5
I love this cleanser it feels so nice going on...great to use on those nights and mornings I'm too lazy for a serious face cleanse?5
This is your typical cleansing water in that it helps in makeup removal - getting most of it off, anyway. I find I still have to do some washing to make sure my skin is absolutely makeup free no matter what brand of cleansing water I'm using.
It's also gentle enough for the eyes. I used this just last night to dampen my usual eye makeup remover pad when I found they had dried out a bit.
I was expecting this to really get all of the eyeliner that I wear (which isn't much at all honestly) and I am always left with just a little bit of a raccoon eye. Nothing that I am worried about going to sleep with though. What I do really like about this product is that there is no burning or irritation to my sensitive skin. I do love how gentle it is on my skin and around my eyes, I have not found that before.3
This is a great product to use at the end of the day! It gently removes all of my make up. I highly recommend this product!5
My eyes are sensitive. Even to some 'sensitive cleansers'. This product was gentle enough on my skin, but tough enough on the make up removal. As always, I have to use a facial cleanser after make up removers. Made no irritation.5
