This little gem is a foolproof way to ensure that your undereye concealer and eyeshadows stay put from morning to night (to late late night). It comes in one surprisingly versatile shade that brightens underneath and above the eye. The lightweight formula blends in easily and won't clog the delicate skin around the eyes.
I purchased this a while ago as the store I purchased it at recommended it as the best eyeshadow primer. The samples from other brands I have received in my Birchbox far outperform this one. I compared it by using the Benefit on one eye and with a Too Faced primer on the other. The Too Faced not only picked up more color with less shadow but it lasted way longer and didn't crease like the Benefit primer did.1
While my eyeliner stayed on, my eyes seemed to be really greasy by the end of the day.1
I just didn't see the benefit of this product...at all. I didn't get the difference it was supposed to make.1
Wasn't overly impressed with this, an eyelid primer is still a better option to put this on before eyeshadow. Is slightly watery and smudged eyeshadow when the eyeshadow stayed on for awhile. When used as a normal concealer it went on watery and dried slightly cakey. I love the primers benefit makes! if you want a benefit pre-eyeshadow product go for one of those over this. Love benefit but missed the mark on this one.2
I have used other products that worked MUCH better at helping my eye shadow to last during the day. This dried quickly and then my eye shadow didn't grab onto my lid like it does with creamier primers. Not happy with the results.2
I thought I would try this as I had some Birchbox points to spend & liked the $$ of this product. But sadly I was disappointed....the texture is great, nice and creamy & easy to blend. But it did nor make my shadow stay put. By afternoon I had creased & faded color. I am a busy working mom & need something built to last! Back to Nars I go....2
This was my first primer that I have had experience with and I did not enjoy this primer at all. I did not purchase this but instead it came in a value set that I had purchased. At the time that I was using this, it did not have the doe tip applicator but the old application of a pump. It pumped out too much product and I found the formula to be quite thick and too creamy for my taste. The blending of this product was difficult because of the product formula and I did notice that this primer did crease on me within 4 hours of wear. I usually wear light and shimmery eyeshadows and I would notice a visible crease line on my eyelid.2
Besides the fact that I really don't think this keeps my undereye makeup or eyeshadow on longer, it's horrible for dry skin.
It looks like I have flakes under my eyes by mid morning. Not a great look. I'm a fan of Benefit products, but not this one.
Goes on smoothly, and spreads well...but after 6-7 hours, shadow was no longer in place. If your skin isn't oily, it may work...but others work better for my oily lids.2
I bought this thinking it would be great because I have dark under eye circles and wear a lot of concealer. But it was too liquid and didn't soak in well enough to then put more product on top. I did buy an earlier version, however, which had a pump mechanism instead of the wand. The wand might help to get just a small amount of product which could help in making it soak in quicker. Might retry it with this change, but wasn't too impressed the first time around.2
