This little gem is a foolproof way to ensure that your undereye concealer and eyeshadows stay put from morning to night (to late late night). It comes in one surprisingly versatile shade that brightens underneath and above the eye. The lightweight formula blends in easily and won't clog the delicate skin around the eyes.
I received this in my birchbox and loved it. Ordered it and it did well for awhile. However, it wasn't great in humidity. My urban decay primer outlasts this one by a lot. I will stick with UD.2
It works well but is not my favorite primer for eye/under eye. I didn't use on brows but think it would work better on brows because of the texture.2
I love Benefit products, so much so that I even wear their perfume. However, I was super disappointed by this eye shadow primer.
Before I say anything negative, I would like to point out that I am pale as all get out and this blended in with my skin really well. It even helped my under eyes not look quite as tired. The formula is smooth and very easy to apply, even if you are in a rush.
My issue is that this did not keep my eye shadow and liner on all day as I was expecting. This would probably work really well if you used it just for a night out and wanted your make up to stay put for the evening, or if you work a quiet desk job. I am a hairdresser, so that means long hours and some sweating. This did not make it through the day. Like I said, this has a lot of good qualities, but it is not for someone looking for shadow primer that truly lasts all day.
It isn't the best eyeshadow primer. It might work better underneath a concealor though. I haven't really experimented with it that way. There are some better drugstore options.2
I'm not a fan of this product. You could just use some concealer and it would work better than this product, for less money.2
I was so sad that this didn't work - I've been looking for the perfect eyelid primer for my oily lids. By midday when using this product my shadow was badly creased and coming off. I did like it for covering my dark circles though, and would consider using it under my concealer where my skin is less oily!2
I was really excited when I received this product but sadly it did not work on my super oily lids. It did not even last half day, my shadow started showing crease and the lids were covered with eyeliner smudges by afternoon.2
I wanted to like this primer but it just didn't do it for me. The primer itself went on a weird, pale shade that didn't look natural, even when I tried to blend it in. I will speak for its staying power, which was almost a little too good, made it hard to remove my makeup at night!2
I didn't like this. I tried it alone the first time, just to even out the red tones I get on my eyelids. It has a nice thin texture that spreads easily and dries pretty fast. My problem was that in four hours my creases looked like oil slicks. It's almost as if it melted...
With eyeshadow on it lasted maybe one or two hours longer before it started turning cakey and started to flake.
Not feelin' it.
I recieved the sample of this product and temporarily swapped it out with my regular Urban Decay primer potion. It doesn't keep my shadow from falling into the crease of my lids the way my usual primer does. However, I did like that it was a bit thinner and I was able to use it as, sort of, an under eye cover up.2
