Solo tea-sippers, rejoice: Your days of loose-leaf tea blunders are behind you. BODUM’s personal tea set is fuss-free and lets you steep the perfect cup of brew without burning your hands, spilling your tea leaves—or bruising your ego.
I could have gotten both these items at the store for less. Its just a glass mug and nothing more. It doesnt stay cool to touch, as it says, and there is no special lid, which is what I thought I'd be getting. The infuser is a plain looking mesh that you could get anywhere. At the store, maybe three for the mug and five for the strainer. It is not special made for the mug. They just add it to the package.1
The lid does not cover the top of the cup, only the steeping basket. It is cheap plastic and not stable on the glass cup. I was very disapointed. I used points and wasn't worth the $3.00 I paid plus points. I am returning. Junk1
While the picture makes the top look like a lid, it is just a holder for the actual tea infuser insert. It looks like better quality in the picture. I am a little disappointed at how cheap it looks in person.1
When I read that there's a lid I assumed it covered the whole cup and not just the infuser. And the holes on the bottom of the filter are a bit large so it doesn't strain as much as I'd like. I figured the bottom of the strainer would be mesh but it isn't. It's plastic with toothpick sized holes. I'm a little sad...I expected more.1
I can make my tea quick and easy with this! I use teavana tea leaves which some of the finer teas do slip through the strainer, but overall I'm pleased with this. I often leave the leave in the strainer to brew my second cup half hour later.3
I love the glass mug and the fact that the tea seaper will sit nicely in the lid when you are done but I thought the lid would cover more of the glass to keep tea hot
I got this tea set with some of my points. I thought by the picture that the mug had a lid for the mug which was the whole point of why I got it. I liked the idea of being able to get this for free and being able to travel with it but of course thats not the case. After all that, I do really like the hands free defuser.3
The idea behind this cup is great; however, all the parts are kind of cumbersome and odd. Too many parts to keep up with.3
The infuser is really great for smaller teas. I love that it has a lid to put in to prevent messes.
I bought this one week ago to try it out before buying another one to gift. Now that I have tried it out the price has gone up and I don't understand why.
I ordered this to make single-serving cups of chrysanthemum tea. (I have a mesh ball tea infuser for loose leaf teas, but the flowers are too large for it.) While this does the trick, I was disappointed that the cap doesn't cover the entire top of the cup. As such, some of the heat of the water is lost while the flowers are steeping.3
