Solo tea-sippers, rejoice: Your days of loose-leaf tea blunders are behind you. BODUM’s personal tea set is fuss-free and lets you steep the perfect cup of brew without burning your hands, spilling your tea leaves—or bruising your ego.
While the picture makes the top look like a lid, it is just a holder for the actual tea infuser insert. It looks like better quality in the picture. I am a little disappointed at how cheap it looks in person.1
When I read that there's a lid I assumed it covered the whole cup and not just the infuser. And the holes on the bottom of the filter are a bit large so it doesn't strain as much as I'd like. I figured the bottom of the strainer would be mesh but it isn't. It's plastic with toothpick sized holes. I'm a little sad...I expected more.1
I got this tea set with some of my points. I thought by the picture that the mug had a lid for the mug which was the whole point of why I got it. I liked the idea of being able to get this for free and being able to travel with it but of course thats not the case. After all that, I do really like the hands free defuser.3
The idea behind this cup is great; however, all the parts are kind of cumbersome and odd. Too many parts to keep up with.3
The infuser is really great for smaller teas. I love that it has a lid to put in to prevent messes.
I bought this one week ago to try it out before buying another one to gift. Now that I have tried it out the price has gone up and I don't understand why.
I ordered this to make single-serving cups of chrysanthemum tea. (I have a mesh ball tea infuser for loose leaf teas, but the flowers are too large for it.) While this does the trick, I was disappointed that the cap doesn't cover the entire top of the cup. As such, some of the heat of the water is lost while the flowers are steeping.3
I drank a lot of loose tea this winter and this is perfect for steeping the tea leaves and then removing them before they become bitter. I really enjoy this set but I do wish it was a bit bigger, maybe 16 or 20 ounces.4
Ergonomic design, well made. Perfect if you know you just want one cup of tea. Also available in a number of colors.4
I'm really happy with this mug so far. I was pleasantly surprised there was sample teas included!4
I like the idea of Tea for One. I didn't really need the clear mug as I have so many mugs. I bought this for the tea strainer. It fits most mugs. It brews loose tea well and washes easily by hand. This would make a great gift for a tea lover along with some unusal teas.4
