For going on 70 years, Danish brand BODUM® has been synonymous with unparalleled brewing savvy—and not just coffee. This modern marvel perfectly illustrates why. The heat-trapping glass makes the perfect pot of tea—loose leaf or tea bags—and the high-tech design is so smart, you can even reuse the tea for a second or third steeping. Use it to make a full 34 oz. pot of whatever brew pleases your taste buds.
I was hoping for a teapot I could put right on the stove to heat the water, and it didn't say in the description that I couldn't do that, until I got it and it says no direct heat. Which is kind of obnoxious. However, it does do a nice job with steeping the tea otherwise. It does feel a little flimsy at times, and I've owned other BODUM presses before so I was surprised. (maybe I just got a bad one!)3
After only one use I knew I wasn't the least bit impressed. The plunger leaves a one-inch gap, so it works less as a press and more of a pot to steap tea. I gave mine away.3
I love the shape, the glass, the beauty of the tea press. However, I don't link that my press doesn't plunge all the down. There's about an inch of space where the tea and leaves just float around. I have to take out the cylinder to let it drain fully. I really wanted to get the personal tea press mug. I hope BB gets that one in stock.3
I was surprised to find out that it keeps my tea warmer longer. It makes me feel fancy drinking with this cool little pot. I like how you don't have to deal with the clean up immediately after brewing. I love how you can refill hot water again to reuse the tea leaves with ease. The parts are easy to disassemble and rinse and clean. I love this tea pot. Very light but sturdy.4
I was able to fresh tea and fruits and let it steep.... Love this ! Great product! I bought the reed and it is very stylish and contemporary.4
For some reason, I was expecting this pot to be a little smaller, but It makes the tea as described, and I have had no issue with loose leaf tea escaping. It also keeps the warmth better than I was expecting.4
i love the glass teapot - it is perfect for drinking infused teas. perfect addition to anyones kitchen because of the neutral color and design. great addition!4
I love this tea pot so much. My only problem is that the plunger does not push down enough, but that is a minimal thing. Over all this is a great tea pot, pours great and I use it all the time.
I love tea, but I've come to realize I don't drink a lot of it at one time. I purchased this pot because I had recently gotten into loose-leaf tea - and it's still my favorite. The only problem with it is that it's just kind of a hassle to make only a cup or two, and it's not worth the time to clean it out for just lil' ole me! I also find that some of the loose leaves do get through the strainer.
For my taste, I use one of those individual cup strainers, but I keep this one around for when I have company who prefer tea.
It's a wonderful design for brewing more than one cup at a time. It keeps the tea warm as well, but the plunger does not go all the way down, leaving a small amount of water in with the tea.4
