Some scents fade quicker than you can say “eau de toilette,” but this one lasts all day. Master Perfumer Thierry Wasser was inspired by his young niece to create this modern interpretation of Guerlain’s classic scent — which debuted way back in 1925 — after she challenged him to create a Shalimar for her. The resulting fragrance is a gorgeous blend of amber and floral notes. Leave it to the French to create a perfume that lingers well past your evening commute.
The scent was too flowery for me (I prefer sweeter and less floral, more caramel) but I am glad I tried it so now I know!1
Have never liked the scent, smells like a n old lady fragrance1
I'm not really a perfumey person, if it 's a fragrance I typically enjoy more fruit/floral type scents that are light. :)1
It is way to strong for me, I didn't like it at all. It smells like something for a man.1
This stuff is strong. I sprayed it on my arm, hated the scent and tried to wash it off. One thing I will say about it, after scrubbing with Dial soap, the stench still lingered. Reminds me of my grandmother.1
I'm not familiar with Guerlain Shalimar. The scent reminds me of an old friend from High School, her aunt use to smell very similar to this fregrance.1
