Life is full of fleeting pleasures—don’t let your makeup job be one of them. This oil-free primer ensures that your foundation stays just where it belongs: on your face. The sheer gel absorbs instantly and clings to both powder and liquid foundation. Bonus: It’s rich in skin-loving antioxidants A, C, and E.
I previously purchased MAKE primer from Birchbox, which I absolutely loved, ran out, and it ended up being out of stock. I decided to purchase Laura Mercier after hearing rave reviews practically everywhere online. I wore it for about three months. I'd put it on at 7am; and by the time I'd get home, my face, especially my forehead, would look greasy. I also started getting a bunch of pimples on my forehead after using this product. I just purchased Pur Minerals primer (also from Birchbox), and within a couple weeks of using it, my pimples are disappearing. I will not buy Laura Mercier again.2
*sigh* I love Laura products but this one made my skin break out like no other. 1
My skin is semi-oily, and I have acne as well as acne scars. When it comes to school dances, I am the most concerned about my makeup being able to stay on. This primer helped my foundation and concealer stay in place, regardless of sweat or oil.4
First time I find a product so light with coverage, I simply love it and blends beautifully with my olive skin.5
I have an oily t zone and a few dry areas, I love Laura Mercier products so I think I will try the hydrating primer instead of the oil free.
I love all things Laura Mercier, but this just didn't do it for me. It felt like a moisturizer, does not help control my midday oil slick, and doesn't do anything to hide or minimize pores. I need something a bit more powerful, I guess, for my oily skin. Wish it was as awesome for me as for others.3
But it makes me oily I probably need to try another primer from this brand3
i was so excited to try this and got it in a travel size since im going to traveling for work buttttt. NO. it basically erased my makeup in 2-3 hours (i sit in an office btw, im not at the gym or something) so i;ll have to return. Really disappointed.2
I bought this to compliment my Laura mercier foundation and it's a great primer. Not too heavy and seems to do it's job. Not really better or worse than some of the other products I've used but definitely no problems and a similar price.5
I love the light texture of this primer. And the fact that it is oil-free is great for summertime wear.4
