We fell in love with Atelier Cologne’s Vanille Insensée Cologne Absolue at first sniff. Unlike most vanilla scents, this one is fresh, not sweet. Top notes of bright lime and coriander mingle with middle notes of jasmine and oak moss, while Madagascar vanilla and amber notes anchor the scent. Happily, the romantic fragrance lasts all day — we’re smitten and you will be too.
This cologne is not for me. To me the smell reminded me of old lady powder smell....not good. I tried it for 3 days and finally threw away the sample.1
A nice gentle perfume. I love the combination of vanilla and Lime. Not a traditional combo, but appealing in it's gentleness. I didn't think it was an overwhelming scent.3
The scent was pretty nice and it stayed well but both I and my husband would have preferred it to have less vanilla in it for my taste.3
I don't typically like vanilla scented perfumes, however this scent is great. It's not too strong of a vanilla scent, it's got a light floral scent. It's very feminine and soft.5
A little too pricey for my taste, but the scent was amazing. I'm trying to use my sample wisely.5
I'll admit- when I saw the word "vanilla" I was skeptical because I don't particularly like to smell like baked goods. But this smells wonderful! It has subtle notes of Amber and vanilla and it is super long lasting. A little goes a long way!4
When I saw that I was getting a Vanilla perfume I was hesitant because I'm not into the sweet smelling scents. But when this arrived it definitely took me by surprise, it smells great! It isn't overpowering at all. I just don't think I'd be able to afford it though in the regular bottle.4
This scent is much too sweet for me, almost sickeningly so.1
I love vanilla notes and was really excited that this perfume was in my box this month - but this was a huge disappointment. It was a very aging scent and intense in an almost baby powder or mothball direction (chemical). The vanilla, lime and jasmine notes aren't particularly distinguishable from one another and the branding of a "vanilla" cologne was just a poor choice on Atelier's part.1
While I like vanilla scents, especially in the winter, this cologne is not for me. I enjoyed the scent when I first applied it, but then I felt like I was wearing my man's cologne. Maybe I will give it another shot.4
