We fell in love with Atelier Cologne’s Vanille Insensée Cologne Absolue at first sniff. Unlike most vanilla scents, this one is fresh, not sweet. Top notes of bright lime and coriander mingle with middle notes of jasmine and oak moss, while Madagascar vanilla and amber notes anchor the scent. Happily, the romantic fragrance lasts all day — we’re smitten and you will be too.
This smelled horrible to me. I wouldn't give it to anyone.1
Love the scent not so happy with the price. Ill stick to my armani5
If you like sweet, floral scents, you will definitely like this. It has a hint of vanilla and a hint of musky undertones, without making it too strong. The smell is a little too sugary sweet for me, but I think a lot of women (and men!) would like the smell. It is not a strong fragrance by any means, just the actual smell is too sweet and nothing special. To me at least.
The sample itself was small and nothing special - it didn't even come with a spritzer. You have to remove the cap, which is on there really tight. I only used it 3-4 times and it's already almost gone. Super cute packaging, though!
I love this perfume! I am sad to see that the price is so expensive because I would love to buy it. My boyfriend can't stop smelling me!
I wish all the perfume samples came in a spray bottle, not the one to dab on your wrists.
This smells so good but when I saw the price I knew I could never justify buying this perfume.5
I love this scent but at $185 it's a bit pricey for me5
Love this product has a nice musky aroma to it. It not as strong as one might think being a unisex fragrance5
It might be the combination with my skin, but the vanilla, while lovely in the bottle, is much too cloying once on my skin.3
I love this scent! So romantic and masculine all at the same time. I love that not only can others smell it on me but I can also smell it on myself not like most fragrances.5
I love vanilla perfume. I love "grown up" vanillas even more. You know the kind: they usually have a little bit of a peppery bite to them, or those great musky undertones, or they have a floral component... y'know, those nice things that prevent them from being the cloying, sickly-sweet vanillas that most of us wore when we were first introduced to perfume.
This is amazing.
It is incredibly rich and opulent smelling, and better yet, it is fairly gender neutral. It is warm and inviting, one of those fragrances that just draws you in closer. As the sample cautions, a little bit DOES go a long way. I put a wee bit on the inside of my wrists and at the nape of my neck, and even hours later I could smell it as strongly as when I first smudged it on.
My only wish is that the sample was a bit larger, and was packaged as a spray instead of having to dab it on with my fingers.
