We fell in love with Atelier Cologne’s Vanille Insensée Cologne Absolue at first sniff. Unlike most vanilla scents, this one is fresh, not sweet. Top notes of bright lime and coriander mingle with middle notes of jasmine and oak moss, while Madagascar vanilla and amber notes anchor the scent. Happily, the romantic fragrance lasts all day — we’re smitten and you will be too.
I was disappointed by this sample... I wore what I thought was a small amount (a few dots) and had to scrub it off my wrist after 10 minutes, I couldn't stand the smell. It was very strong and warm and musky, and I like warm and musky, but this was overpowering, and kind of nasty.1
This is very light and pretty smell. I actually like it, this actually coming from some one who hates perfumes.4
It is a little musky and a little sweet. A wonderful combination if you aren't thrilled with typical floral scents.5
First off, I'm typically not a fan of vanilla scents, but I gave it a try because I like some of the other scents listed in the description. The scent is way too overbearing for my taste, every time I caught a whiff from my wrist I felt like I smelled like an old lady! Although it did tone done slightly throughout the day I wanted to shower to get the smell off of me, will not be using again!1
The smell was not overpowering, however, it was not long lasting either. I would not recommend. The sample size was large enough to really try it out.2
I was not that impressed with the Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee Cologne. It was too sweet a fragrance for me! Sorry!2
This fragrance is heavenly! I fell in love at first sniff! So super happy I received it in my September BirchBox. It's an uber perfect blend of Vanilla, Jasmine and lime! A little goes a very long way because it is a bit on the strong side, but it lasts all day! I just have to purchase the full size!5
I was glad to get a sample of the Vanille Insenee since it was on my short list of must-try. However, it's not what I expected which was something a bit sweeter. The vanilla notes are right there at the beginning but it fades down to something that my mom may have worn in the late 70s and early 80s. (Enjoli comes to mind). Now that I've tried it, it won't be going into my fragrance drawer.3
I'm always skeptical about trying new scents but I actually really liked this one. It wasn't overpowering and smelled fresh. I considered purchasing it until I saw the price.4
This vanilla scent is completely unexpected. You think oh yea, another vanilla scented perfume. WRONG! This perfume has fragrant hints of freshness. Describing this scent as sweet is something you cannot do. This is a calm, fresh, floral take on the bland everyday vanilla.5
