We fell in love with Atelier Cologne’s Vanille Insensée Cologne Absolue at first sniff. Unlike most vanilla scents, this one is fresh, not sweet. Top notes of bright lime and coriander mingle with middle notes of jasmine and oak moss, while Madagascar vanilla and amber notes anchor the scent. Happily, the romantic fragrance lasts all day — we’re smitten and you will be too.
I tried this fragrance and the smell was too musky and stuck to my skin/clothes for over a day. I just wanted it to go away...2
I found the mossy/ambery/musky notes on this fragrance a bit overpowering. They almost cancel out the vanilla notes to my nose. So, it's not personally a fragrance I'm likely to wear very often. That said, it is a good take on a vanilla fragrance overall--more mature, less fake -vanilla-mall-perfume.2
I am not a big vanilla fan but if you are this is nice. I will be giving mine away.2
Did not care for the smell of this fragrance. Also the packaging was not ideal, I prefer fragrance to have a spray cap with such a small sample.2
I like fresh scents but much prefer florals over anything even remotely sweet. If you like vanilla, this isn't your typical scent but has softer notes, not too sweet, but still not for me.2
Reading the description of this scent I was excited as it seemed to have a lot of the elements I look for. However, the only note I got from it was vanilla, nothing else, and it was very strong and sweet. Reminded me of vanilla extract.2
I loved the packaging but the fragrance is not for me.2
I found this fragrance to be heavy and reminded me of citronella candles. I do not recommend.2
This is a Vanilla scented purfume, beautifuly packaged and great quality. I prefere very light scents and this was just a bit to much for me.2
I have an eclectic taste in perfumes, but tend more toward clean, citrus, green, or classic scents. I am not a fan of vanilla, which turned me off from this scent.2
