We fell in love with Atelier Cologne’s Vanille Insensée Cologne Absolue at first sniff. Unlike most vanilla scents, this one is fresh, not sweet. Top notes of bright lime and coriander mingle with middle notes of jasmine and oak moss, while Madagascar vanilla and amber notes anchor the scent. Happily, the romantic fragrance lasts all day — we’re smitten and you will be too.
This reeks worse than my pits after two weeks not showering1
The scent was very strong and not very feminine. It also triggered a headache1
The scent was overbearing. It did not suit my style or chemistry. Would not repurchase, sorry.1
Smells like vanilla baby powder. I didn't like it at all.1
Did not like the scent at all.. too sweet and strong.1
I love the smell of vanilla, so I had high hopes for this. Unfortunately, it just did not deliver. The vanilla was not a sweet note, but more earthy. When the mossy scent was mixed with the others, such as the lime, it became muddled and created something very off-putting.1
Perhaps I got a bad batch, but I was very disappointed with this scent. I even passed it around to friends and we were all put off by the overpowering musky side of the scent- the vanilla completely disappeared after it was applied. It didn't even smell like a perfume.
(All due respect to grandmothers) it smelled like something a grandmother would wear.
Never have been a fan of vanilla scented products, just too sweet and boring. Expecting more from an expensive product.1
Have you ever thought "what's the perfect perfume to make me smell like my grandma's 90-year-old nursing home roommate?" If so, this one's for you. My husband, unprompted, asked me if I had a new, very old, client who wore too much perfume, that's how bad this was. Hard pass, very disappointed.1
way too strong, I wish BB would send body sprays instead, they are less intense and won't usually give me a migraine.1
