We fell in love with Atelier Cologne’s Vanille Insensée Cologne Absolue at first sniff. Unlike most vanilla scents, this one is fresh, not sweet. Top notes of bright lime and coriander mingle with middle notes of jasmine and oak moss, while Madagascar vanilla and amber notes anchor the scent. Happily, the romantic fragrance lasts all day — we’re smitten and you will be too.
If you love the smell of vanilla, this is a good find. It isn't too strong and seems like it would last all day.1
I personally did not like this cologne. The scent was way too over powering. I barely had any on and it took over the whole room. Not for me.1
Honestly this smells like my grandmother. This is not a youthful smell to me. I did not like it at all and I'm glad too--I broke out as soon as I put it on and sure enough it has one of my allergens as an ingredient which I didn't expect from a floral perfume.1
Not only do I not like perfume but this one was really unpleasant smelling.1
This is not a smell for me! When I put it on my skin it just smelled like grandma's expired perfume. i tried to wash it off and it hung around even after i washed my wrists with soap. So If you do like it the sent does stay on!1
I was hopeful of this product, but the scent is way too sweet. More like an old ladies scent.1
Perfume is such a personal thing. The same fragrance can smell totally different on each person. Really wanted to like it, but this one is not for me. I didn't get the vanilla, jasmine or lime notes. A positive...even though the sample is small it is quite generous in that I only used it once and found a little "dab" does go a long way and lasts a very long time.1
I didn't think this was a good spring/summer smell. It is heavy smelling and is strongly vanilla scented.1
I dabbed just a little of this perfume on and it gave me a headache. I normally wear perfume too, and this one was too strong.1
Nearly every Birchbox I've received has had some kind of fragrance in it, and I've not been much of a fan of any of them. This one is no different. At first I thought, oh hey! no overwhelming bouquet of flowers. So I tried it hoping that it would be different. Maybe I would like this one. The longer it was on my wrist, the more it bothered me. Then my husband came home, hugged me and made this weird face. When I asked him was was wrong, he said I smelled like his great aunt Rose. Another strike. This one was tossed almost immediately.1
